I'm wondering now if we could kill 2 birds with one stone. We figure out how to create a business process patent on standing in lines to hold a spot. Then we become patent trolls and start suing lobbyist and anyone else that uses this method to fill meetings. Either patent reform is done or we get to see lobbyists standing around for hours to get into meetings.
We were promised by the last corupt gov. that if taxes were going to be for everyone (ie sales tax increase). But the last big tax increase was a "sin" tax on cigs and gambling (notice not liquor).
IL does not really believe in equal taxes for everyone, just what brings in the right amount of money (for more pork belly projects) without pissing off the current political funding.
Add to this problem, the fact that if I travel often and purchase an item out-of-state and pay they're taxes, I am expected to still pay a second use tax.
Fine the government wants to pay for services, and I like some of those services it provides, but if I can find a better deal somewhere else, then consumerism-uberalice thats precedence in my mind. The state better lower its own taxes, maybe then I would purchase the item locally.
Nobody pulls together except within their narrowly defined identity group (though I can't imagine how the GLBTG manage it.)
They don't. The GL don't quite trust the B (to "straight"). TG are they're own little group of distrust. More often than not, GLB would rather have nothing to do with TG except most GLB discrimination comes from TG influences.
> You are paying the instructors to teach you and paying the university rent for its rooms.
Isn't that paying for a degree?? I always thought that paying for a service (the learning of some piece of knowledge in this case) means that I should except a certain level of professionalism.
When, I would skip class on occasion, I knew I was not getting my full service, but that was my choice at the time. It's the same as someone that pays for a health club member ship but doesn't always use it. The health club won't care about receiving the money, but I as a customer except a certain level of respect when, I am at the club. I think that college should be the same. I am paying to be taught. If, the services that I am receiving are not up to snuff, I will complain(assuming I am attending the classes.)
I tried OpenBSD but stopped when I discovered that it did not support my dual processor machine. I currently run FreeBSD, but would go back to OpenBSD once SMP support is added.

Watch as in a couple of months they need to susspend entire teams due to some other student posting pictures of the athletes doing something stupid.
Of course if they word things correctly they won't have a backlash due to incorrect enforcement.
Wait, you mean someone actually lives at

Ahhhh, but there is the rub in Illinois.

Now if the IDE and SCSI would just co-operate ^_-
