  1. Isn't that what Vista's supposed to do? on Computer Software to Predict the Unpredictable · · Score: 0
Am I going to use my pc? rip a dvd? share a file? change hardware? plug in a dv recorder? play media? copy?

I'd say I'm about as unpredictable as any old politician/terrorist who want's to: have more power? control people? invade? subvert? violate?

Some days ago here on /. I read that M$ thinks it's antivirus tecnology can be used to fight against AIDS.

Is seems that, once again, MS tecnology is really out there on the forefront and Ballmer just missed out on being awarded $2.2Million to develop software to predict the unpredictable.

Going to Mars isn't really testing of our ability expand into the universe considering just how big the Universe seems to be.

It's more like testing our abililty to get Man onto a neighbouring planet in the solar system.

Just because some non-US bastards go around shooting people in the back of the head, doesn't mean the US and NATO don't go around shooting people in the head, raping women and children, and destroying whole communities in the name of internation security.

'much-needed' you say? Get real. Let's see some much-needed documentation of the continuos raping of civilization that the rich white have been doing for centuries.

  9. Karma on China Says Tibetans Need Permission To Reincarnate · · Score: -1, Offtopic
Some years ago I read some sci-fi titled 'Karma' by Arsen Darnay (I think). The story tells of a machine designed to capture the souls of the dead and reincarnate them in newborn bodies chosen at will. This machine is used to keep the same brainwashed soles repeatedly being born at a nuclear waste site as to guarantee long, long term dedicated staff.

So the idea is there. China just needs to build the machine, capture his soul and then condemn its sucsesive bodies to an infinity of hard labour. Add that to new DRM tecnology and the channel could be secured against monk cyber-terrorists.

  13. Re:Please explain on NASA Sees Glow of Universe's First Objects · · Score: 1

In more physics-friendly language, there are only two possibilities - either the universe is open or it's closed. If it's open, then it's infinite in all directions and there is no edge (we don't think this is the case, but it's still technically possible). If it's closed, then there simply is no edge because as you travel in any direction you curve around to head back where you came from.

How do you do that, with linux?
