being from where i am we have a million bubbas, but there are no cameras. but then again gunshots here are most likely to get meat than to kill someone in a gang shooting. also , on sunday morning even the bubbas dont shoot near churches. for those who dont know what a church is, it is a building where folks worship God, and most of them dont break the law much, so come to think of it maybe ya'll DO need the cameras more than we do. more especially, if you are surrounded by bubbas and dont think they are good folk, they are probably laughing their asses off at you right now anyways..besides, i guess there are more and more of you anti bubba types out there....so i am open to what a good surveilance camera costs so i can monitor all you folks moving into the neighborhood
i agree with drifter. that is why i stick with my 92 isuzu 4x4 truck, in addition to the fact that i haven't got the finances to buy a new on:( . gee, now that i am depressed over my finances, i need some comfort food, maybe some french fries...but wait! has anyone considered geneticly modifying the french? or would that exacerbate the already dangerous potato condition? so much to ponder over, so little time.
this asteroid is all george bush's fault, and i feel that we need to have senate hearings and call in the fema director and ask him what he plans to do to stop that thing. hold on, i have another idea:
let's make sure hillary is president when the thing gets closer and she can sell it as real estate to aliens, pocket the money, and lie about all of it...the entire problem will go away.
as a farmer/ stockman and also being self employed in a business that is affected by weather, i know all too well that i need the most accurate forcast possible, with the least hassle. intellicast is available to me quickly, and i am satisfied with the results i get. but in texas, it is true that if you do not like the weather, just stick around for a day...it will change (smile)
i love it that california is leading the race, especially since all of their tree hugging has resulted in little production of energy in california. they even have to buy their electricity from other states.of course, they are so far from my state of texas, at least we don't have that many visit....
as i prepare to leave and face the day, i ponder this deep subject for only an instant, as i have this mundane task of making a living looming on the horizen.
you can BET i WILL rush home this evening to see if this mystery has been solved
yes, what dun said is true. having worked in a foundry with an induction metal melting crucible, i have seen folks forget to remove metal bracelets and watch bands only to have them get instantly red hot and BRAND their likeness into the flesh of their wrists. also, having worked in a foundry for 18 years, i can guarantee i have the same six fingers and nine toes i started with...........and my ability to read minds was probably there at infancy, and just ignored on my part!
gee thanks folks, i just remembered to add floss to my shopping list. had a bowl of popcorn last night, and you KNOW what that stuff does to a fellers teeth!
what with battling godzilla and all those other monster fellers, i can see why Japan put space exploration on the back burner....(i am glad this is a typed reply so that my mouth and sound don't appear out of sync.)
i suggest they deploy an orbital device with ground penetration radar to pre-empt the monster intrusions........and to promote good will, pay layed off united auto workers to man ground control (after they complete a payed retraining program funded by the U.S. Dept. of labor..)
perhaps if they clone a low cholesteral pig, we could enjoy healthy bacon, and an engineered egg or two. and dont forget some engineered wheat to process into some bread for toast. yes, and make it whole (engineered) wheat bread, with a margerine made from engineered corn......hold it, if this was eaten BY an engineer, would that make him/her a cannibal?
i agree with Shakrai.as a farmer / rancher in central texas i know all too well what it is like to have fences cut, livestock shot, and a bullet hitting my house. poachers are felons, and the "good ole boy" mentality doesn't wash out with me. being a single dad, my daughter and i love our venison, LEGALLY taken, according to state laws. if you think it is cruel, wrong, or sinful to hunt, don't do it (and i will defend your right to feel that way if you do), but if you DO shoot deer.do it LEGALLY!
as far as i am concerned, the local game warden (who is also a friend) is MORE than welcome to put a mechanical deer on my road frontage, (and he has), and i as a landowner will gladly prosecute. these poachers are not hungry, they are criminals.
texas has a "hunters for the hungry" program that will gladly give hungry folks venison to eat..and texas also has a jail/prison system to place poachers.......if that doesn't make sense to you."here's yer sign."
