You must realise, that game companies are just that, companies that are in it for fun and muney, money most probably being the first on the list. Now, with Windows holding a 500+ billion dollars market share, now dare I say it that Windows will be the first OS game companies will create games for, MacOS next, and maybe, juuuust MAYBE they would consider Linux as an after thought; and dont expect many game companies to relese the source either.
I think all these paranoid delusions are affecting everyones sense of judgement. I seriously doubt that the government gives a flying flip what us normal/even abnormal law abiding citizens do. I think that they are trying ways to crack down on the people who break the law. How many of you had your car stolen? I have, and I hate to say I didnt find that a pleasent situation, I wanted to find that bastard and bend both of his legs the wrong way, many many times. I WANT there to be a way to catch the criminal IN the act, I highly doubt there going to stop you on the side of the street just cause you got long hear and maybe a tattoo. If they did then there would be some seriously large lawsuits going on against the government for breaking civil liberties and serval constitutional amendments. Its not the end of your freedoms, but the end of criminals if it works, if it doenst, they'll scrap the program and try something else. I believe that the government is not some evil entity out to suck our freedoms like a proverbial leech like a lot of you seem to think, sure, there not the greatest in the world, but then who is?
without guns we would still be using bows and arrows or spears to kill our food, without the invention of the gun we as a speicies would not have evolved so quickly. Believe it or not, the gun is responsible for the advancement of man. I say this because of the simple fact that I mentioned above. It was an all day venture to go out and hunt your food down in the old'en days, it took even longer with bows, arrows and spears cause of the distance you had to be to kill the beast, with the invent of the gun you get a reasonable distance, shoot, clean and eat, after all this you were left with more time to practice in other indevers, music, art, science... Hell, with out bow, arrows and spears we would still be killing our food with our bare hands, what kind of sociaty would we live in if we were forced to hunt our food cause some guy didnt think about domesticated meat animals in his spare time after eating?:) PS. Vegitarinism(SP?) doesnt count, veges are nasty horrible little things to be avoided at all cost.
as of right now, the PSXII's starting price when it hits the shelves will be more than $400. Sony is screwing themselves with this because of the price alone... I dont see it toping the DC sales for stated reason. I plan to get one... but only when the price drops to $200 or less.
You just keep saying that when your 80 and in an old folks home with no government benifits and no money. _I_ on the other hand will be up in my summer home somewhere in northern Canada (really nice place out there)because I was smart enough to vote in some really awsome retirement benefits and a really sweet 401k and a few nice mutuals.
It seems to me that these old timers know how the world really works and wants to be a part of changing it for the better. These are the people that went to a 85%+ voter turn out on ALL elections, off year or not. They know there business and they know that voting gives them power over all the youths of America who dont have a clue and dont want one. Off year elections are comeing up and Im ready to cast my votes, and tell those beurocratic stiffs that pass those nasty censoship laws that I wont have any of that in my home town. Remember, they may be old now, but the way technology is going, your going to be WAY older than they are in the future.
Im on my way there, but untill I get more experience and another job other than ISP tech support Im SOL on T1 and SDSL. One year at my current job and they pay for my certifications, all sponsored my MS no less, I believe I'll be getting my Red Hat Cert first off then going for thy Cisco later down the road >:>
But I can barely afford $150 a month for an SDSL. I dont see how any one outside the super rich, could afford a $500+ a month internet connection... What do you need a T1 for anyway? I find it foolish for anyone to need MB/s throughput for anything for that price, unless your running a medium to large business. If you ask me, its a waste of money.

First off, this is a business/science operating system used for their respected fields, not for running games.
As for the RPM tool, I seriously doubt it, its not RedHat after all.
You and the rest of the world are looking for an Alpha system for under $3000 if they exist.
