  1. Pay on the way out... on Louis CK's Internet Experiment Pays Off · · Score: 5, Insightful

LCK says he doesn't get torrents, but I think he does, this is very smart. Many people who watch the torrent version will gladly hop over to his site and pay their $5 and not even bother to d/l again. Movies should be like this, what if you could pay on the way out of the theater after you've seen the movie, wouldn't that make alot more sense?

You know it'll never happen, but it's a nice idea

    =D

  3. sim racing on Have I Lost My Gaming Mojo? · · Score: 1

dunno if anyone suggested this yet, but online racing is a great way to regain your gaming mojo. i'm a shooter-gamer and didn't really get into racing games except for the odd arcade game like need for speed, always thought sim's were too hard.. then about a year ago a friend introduced me to Race 07 and it's two add-ons GTR Evolution and the new Race On.. wow, talk about awesome gaming fun for an old guy! It's easy and quick to get into, the game is open ended so you can drive any car on any track without having to "level up" .. take as long as you like learning a new car/track while building your skills with other like-minded and mature drivers

  6. BF2 end of round posing on Finding New and Unintended Ways of Playing Games · · Score: 1

when the round ends in BF2 (and it's mods like AIX2.0) the splash screen shows a live action camera view of a specific part of the battlefield... the trick is to position yourself, your vehicle etc so you appear in the frame at the end of the round just as the tickets expire and take a screenie of you and your buds posing for group shot :D but it's mostly helicopters spinning out of control, jets crashing into the ground and assorted carnage, all in good fun!

  7. Election reform is the real issue.. on Canada Considering Online Voting In Elections · · Score: 1

People don't vote because it always comes down to the lesser of two evils. I live in Vancouver Canada and our political system is so deeply broken it fails in almost every respect. Under the current rules we will never get a functioning government the people actually believe in.

If there was a candidate worth voting for, people would vote. Go ahead and make voting mandatory, they already tie our names to the elections canada voting list from a check box on our income tax return so that would be no problem... but if they can't give people someone to vote for, give them a way to voice their displease and have a NON OF THE ABOVE option. Then count all the NON OF THE ABOVE votes and report them for all to see, only then will the people will be heard.
