"Professor Jane Mt. Pleasant of Cornell University studied the polyculture of corn, pole beans, and squash. She found that these plots grown in the traditional Iroquois way yielded about 25-40 bushels of corn per acre. This compares poorly to the 100-bushels per acre average for modern New York State famers. Then she added the value of the beans and squash from the same plots. The total yield of the three sisters system was 4.02 million calories per acre compared to the 3.44 million calories per acre."
We plant crops the way we do to make them labor unintensive to harvest. If you knew anything about ecology you would grasp that a monoculture is pretty much never going to take full advantage of a site like polyculture.
My sister in-law's Rogers phone blocks the installation of Google Voice specifically. She had never heard of it till I showed her my US spec version of the same phone.
Um, mix one part each heritability and fecundity equations into a population model, stir on high and in what way can evolution not be stated by equations?
Yes, so wrong you say. Knee! Jerk!

This may be the most painful whoosh I've ever seen on Slashdot.
8 bits to a byte, or possibly 7, this was the 60's :).

A Prius with a bad traction battery is going NOWHERE. The car doesn't move unless there's a good battery in it.
Honda IMA cars can go if the batteries are worn out though (and have to often :( ).
I've got KitKat on my Google Nexus S (released 2010, albeit in December).

Lovely monopolist pricks.
My Neato uses ~330 watts for its vacuum, but does only one pass over most areas in the room.
Seems to pick up a lot more dirt. Still way less than 1600w though.
OMFG I wish I had mod points!
Maybe a long string of obscenity will do in the mean time?

If you really want a good laugh, look at the benchmark score/price graph on the page you linked.
Wow Intel overcharges.
Australians are plants!
Edgar Rice Burroughs FTW
Came here to see this comment, wasn't disappointed.
What? How did this earn a mod-down? That's what's at the bottom of Barry's Wikipedia page right now and is pretty much the definition of a backfire.
Sam
"In 2014, Barry sued four Wikipedia editors for defamation for their edits to this page."
ROFL
Let me know when I can get my package from the local UP/Ex launcher.
Yes, for plugins and electrics. Hybrids haven't had any for several years.
The Honda Insight was this car.
It's being discontinued because it was so unpopular.
A Highlander base is 0-60 in 9.7s.
A Prius is 9.8s.
This is dumb. You don't get subsidies for standard hybrids anymore. Only plugins and electrics.
Um, I just checked, and the ingredients on my American milk container says (hilariously enough):
Ingredients: milk
It's just pasteurized or ultra-pasteurized, which makes it last longer than a couple days.

"90% of Everything is Crap".
This applies to everything, including cable TV.
The remaining 10%? Well, 90% of that is crap too.
It's crap all the way down!
Did you read the summary? They're talking about the price of smartphones pushing to $200 with no contract.
Drive a Honda Fit or Ford Fiesta then go drive a Versa/Leaf. Small cars CAN be fun to drive, the Leaf is decidedly not.
