actually, soundjam and itunes were written by most of the same people. i've talked to one of the guys working on it. he said he still uses soundjam for the most part because he can't use itunes while writing it.
if he'd have used one of these instead of the cryptography system he did use? he couldn't have claimed that he forgot the password, that's for sure. and he'd probably still be in jail. i think i'll stick to standard cryptography, screw all the biometric stuff.
apparently all you people missed out on the fun of zaks. i was the only one i knew who played with them, and they beat the crap out of legos. the could move, for one thing. plus they were lego compatible.
does anyone else find it strange that you have to opt out of this type of thing? wouldn't it make more sense to opt in, instead of every single person having to change thier web page just to avoid this kind of crap?
it's a good thing that RPN is so much faster, because the hp48xx (and even the 49g i believe) are only using a 4 MHz processor. i really don't understand that. they really had a chance to improve with the 49g, but instead they are still slow, and the calculator case is even tackier. give me a TI-92+ any day. it has a 12 MHz processor and much finer resolution on the screen (bigger too, heh).
since the tivo is a linux box, couldn't it be hacked to get around whatever copyright protection they come up with? i'm sure someone will figure out how to break the copyright system in a matter of weeks if it's even implented.
i can't attest to the full spectrum LEDs, having never seen one, but i would rather have flourescent lights than incandescent. incandescents are just way too dark for me, i like a lot of light.

you know, i always was one of the nerds that was picked on in high school. i was never popular, and i loved computers. i can honestly say i never even _thought_ about taking a gun and shooting a bunch up people, and i've been playing shoot 'em up games since they came out on on good old 8-bit nintendo. instead of getting violent in high school, i cranked the hell out of my amp and jammed a little. it seemed to get the agression out just fine.

your life does depend on it, when you're on an unreal tourney map with about 10 homocidal maniacs. kill or be killed man.
um, yay, now my LNUX stock can lose even more value. hurray for linux.
like i'm going to waste 4 hours sitting around watching a bunch of overpaid, overweight, sweaty smelly guys run up and down a field after a dead pig.
