Now I understand your previous comment about manufaturer modifications to Android. That sounds like a really broken OS in that P20.
Anyway, I've used both Samsung and LG phones and I don't find their modifications to Android annoying or hard to use. I guess 99% of non power users don't care either if their phone has those or pure Android.
My point is: I don't think pure Android is better than manufacturer versions (at least those I've tried), just different.
I wish I could outsource the listening of music to a clone of me. That way I could make the clone listen to tons of music to find songs I really like. Maybe one day they'll build this with AI.
Admittedly I don't know how well music recommendation services work since I don't use Spotify or the like.
They shouldn't be able to do that. You buy a product with certain features and then it's purposefully worsened afterwards. Old copies should be left alone. New copies should be sold without the expired songs.
Of course this nonsense only applies to systems that are online. Those who bought GTA IV on disc on previous gen consoles can keep enjoying it with all the songs forever. That's one of the few things I hate about platforms like Steam: You can get your game modified unilaterally at any time and you can't reject the patch.
I know you post a lot on Tesla threads and that you seem to know quite a bit about it but I find strangely funny that you know so many details about Elon's life.
At that time I thought the video (encoded in MPEG 1 Video) looked amazing. It also helped that the song was great and so I watched that video many times.
Yeah, I've been using Lite since I had a space constrained phone and since I'm not a heavy or advanced Facebook user it's enough for me.
Being so small it's probably just a thin wrapper over the mobile site.
Anyway, many (Twitter does for example) apps have "lite" versions for resource constrained phones. Sadly, they're only (officially) available on developing countries. I guess the reason is to force users in developed nations to use the "big" versions which have much more spying so that the company can make lots of money.
CD Project Red, The owners of GOG and makers of The Witcher games included a DRM related pun in the Witcher 3:
Quoting from the Witcher 3's Wiki: "During the quest involving Sigo Buntz, Geralt must deactivate the DRM ("Defensive Regulatory Magicon") with the aid of the Gottfried's Omni-opening Grimoire, or GOG".
That was funny and not very subtle:)
Non human customers? The product or service will eventually have to benefit a human, if it doesn't what's the point?
Also someone will have to pay the product/service manufacturer/provider
Morality issues apart, you've gotta be pretty stupid to copy from easily available articles on the Internet and post the results in another Internet website. It's the context where is the easiest to check you've actually copied your articles.
Also his name is tarnished forever. I don't think he'll easily find another job
As an heterosexual man. Do I care if a woman dresses well? Yes, I do. Do I care about the brand of the clothes or the handbag she wears? Nope, not at all.
So I agree about most of your post just not about the bag part.
I don't understand why some people do that: You have to take the phone out of the pocket before you sit. It's easier that it drops or gets stolen if you put it there instead of in the front pocket.
If my pants didn't have front pockets I'd rather carry a bag/purse to put the phone in (as many women do) rather than put it in the back pocket.
Reduce "echo chambers"? What are you gonna do show me twitts from the other end of the political spectrum? Show me twitts of people I don't actually follow?
Maybe what I want is an echo chamber. I thought the point of Twitter was to follow people whose posts you find interesting.
Also I think they block people way too easily: I've seen blocks for twits you can hardly find controversial and that weren't attacking anyone. In addition now there's talk of preventing people who have been blocked before from opening new accounts. One unfair block and you're out forever?
Do they really think that's a good idea?
Developing ReactOS to a workable state would require a LOT of money and resources. They're doing a nice job considering the limited resources they have but you can't realistically ever expect to be a good substitute for Windows.
Also the 68000 family chips were very popular in arcade boards. Look at the MAME hardware info for games and you'll see they were used in tons of arcades.
Apple would've released large iPhones even if Steve was still alive. It was a popular trend and even they couldn't ignore it.
Do I think many current smartphones are too large? Yes, I do. I'd like them to make powerful 5 inch phones again
As per your story it seems that, indeed, Apple's trap to spread usage of iOS is working.
Keeping a loved and/or frequently used piece of software exclusive to a platform is one of the oldest tricks to get people to use said platform
But if that's the only reason she has to use an iPhone that means iPhones don't have many things over Androids now (I personally think Android is better but I'm a techie so...)
I guess the lawsuits to the ROM sites come from the companies that hold the rights to some of those games. If that's so, you could provide the unclaimed games for download although I guess no one could guarantee that some day some company wouldn't show up demanding those games be removed
The real question is why is Yahoo #4?
Who uses it anymore and for what?
I admit I do visit Yahoo but just their Webmail since I have an account I've been using for many years.
Google have included many optimizations in the last few versions. Since the M version (I think) they've been working on battery usage. Most versions also include compiler and runtime optimizations in the changes list.
Maybe Android it's not as efficient as iOS but Google have put a big deal of work into optimizing it.

That's because he's probably a clueless kid with a smartphone that has 4 GB of RAM and so he's surprised something so cool can run on just 200 MB

Yeah Pocophone doesn't sound very well in Spanish. Anyway, the "pajero" was renamed "montero" in Spanish speaking countries, at least here in Spain

I guess it's because women tend to buy more clothes than men. And the ratio of stores for each sex is probably the same everywhere

Yeah, with that I agree. If it ever becomes a threat to Windows Microsoft will sue it into oblivion
I didn't read the post title :).
Good one anyway
