To see it that way is some kind of insanity, maybe one of the other more eloquent /.er's could help illustrate.

You can make laws that sodomy is illegal. Yet we still have sodomy going on. Fact of life, people fuck each other in the ass. You cannot circumvent free will with laws. Laws are not inherently moral or just. They are just laws. That is all.

And all law is is a rule for the use of force by society on the individual. Government. Sometimes these a laws provide useful guidelines.

The rediculousness comes in when one group of people think that passing judgment on another group of people is ok. Go for it. It will always be used back against you and twisted into your side.

Were about to see a new dawn were you are a bad person for using non-green technology to feed yourself. Your already evil if you live off of subsistence. Those backwards Amish and Mennonites are already feeling colonial pressure. The Native Americans of Alberta have not been protected by your controlled markets and pollution regulations, they have been suffering for 20+ years as they are driven off their land tribe by tribe, family by family by wealthy connected politicians.

It is hubris to belief non-libertarian ideals are just or kind or compassionate or good or better then totalitarian dickishness. Things always sucked even in Ghenghis Khans day. But don't worry today some asshole in D.C. can fly a drone over your little backwater shithole and blow up your goats. Were just a few years away from this being used on normal every day Blokes who are forced into welfare and socialism by an increasingly corrupt and fucked fascist regime where robots and Monopolies hold more rights then individuals.

Look at the world your creating and ask how are you creating it. And you will one day see that the defense of liberty which has been forgotten is the only reason our downfall has taken so long. It the spiral into dictatorship and tyranny is inevitable and if you have read Machaveli you know what I am talking about. Some may argue to go there now. But in the end it will be the idealism of liberty that refreshes your freedom and true empowerment. If your of the type who believes you only have one life. Then you only have now to make it count. Do you want to be restricted in how you live your life? No no one does, and no on needs to be. The idea that we must all be restricted for our own good is a pre-Nazi ideal that less then human chattel can not look after themselves. This is farther from the truth then anything. The only reason you see weak confused children around you is because they have never been faced with true power and responsibility and have lived their entire lives sheltered in an authoritarian dystopia. Not because they are incapable, but because they have never been given the freedom to find out they are capable.

Do no piss on our liberty please =P

On topic I'm surprised Sim City was given such bad reviews I know EA has a reputation for destroying anything it touches. But I really expected this franchise to be treated with reverence. Seems like EA has no intention of making a long term stay if they are destroying all the IP they gobble up.

One other alternate theory I have about these big publishers that just crap all over good franchises is they are just trying to extend trademarks and re-copyright material with a new face. As much as I detest Disney's permanent death grip on Mickey at least they produce good shows every year for their audiences.

It seems in other genre's and industries the IP deathgrip is just causing Uwe Boll Level disastrous failures every 5 years.

911 happened not because of 1 man, or 1 group, but because of many things, and many men, or women. Even in-action on the part of the FBI and CIA.

    1. They consider consumer goods bought in the country by traveling foreigners exports (t-shirts, cake, cell phones, etc) I don't think that should count its cheating since those goods were not manufactured here and we are just middle men. Walmart is not an exporter of TV's, they are a retailer.

    2. The other factor they add in which accounts for 500 billion of that is software, movie, and TV royalties. These are not physically manufactured goods or property as much as your civil ideology likes to believe they will never be property. The wealth from this industry is even worse distributed then the wealth from the auto and oil industries. It only accounts for probably the top 1000 wealthiest families and is probably immediately exported to tax havens.

So I am going to call $2 trillion exports bullshit, its great that we can use Hollywood accounting there also.

I would like to see numbers that show real exports of physical goods, that are useful in a real sense, like water, steel, oil, natural gas, salt, food, cars, etc...
