I agree with you in terms of skills set, marketable skills etc. but that is just crazy for workstation. I spent $4000 on new system that can handle pretty much anything I can throw at it. It's only 32gig but I plan on expanding to 64gig. AMD Ryzen 7 2700x, ASUS ROG Crosshair VII hero board, SSD, 2 x ASUS AREZ STRIX Radeon RX Vega 64. Asus PG348Q Display. I do video work on this thing, run vitualbox for old os work, programming, and of course gaming when I get time. It just seems like maxing out the RAM doesn't really get your that much. I just can't image justifying the cost of $15,000 for a system with the amount of performance you can get now and days. Sure I could get a couple of bigger cards but I will won't touch $15,000 price tag.
I've often said that we could use our prison population to help with recycling while paying them a wage. Sure there would be security issues but those issues can be delt with via metal detectors, Pat downs, etc. You could use those prisoners that less violent. But it's a win for everyone I feel.

We look at things differently when it comes to the rules. We have been together so long that our enjoyment comes more from the role playing than it does getting caught up in various possibilities. We are happy to just accept BB of 13% as the rule and move on. Again you can modifiy the rules as you see fit and our changes and additions have always worked out great. We just have no need to spend more money on books when we have everything from 1st edition, Basic, and 2nd edition to take care of our needs.
My gaming group has been together since 1981 and we continue to play 2nd edition only. We've spent years designing our rules around 2nd edition and after looking at later editions we simply were not impressed. Forgotten Realms is our world and always will be.
I noticed you conveniently left one small detail.....the US has done more to reduce its CO2 output more than any other country on the planet. If fact the US who doesn't participate in the Paris accords is doing better at lowering CO2 than any country in Europe except for the UK which is a distant second place. Might want to chew on that for a while before you attack the US.

For the US, there are no speed limiters by law. However some manufacturers still have them because the cars are shipped overseas to the US but there are some dealers that offer their cars with the option to remove such limiters.
My 02 wrx wagon was built in Japan and shipped to the states. I can promise you it goes way faster 112mph. After 250k, it's still as quick as ever and I'm not a lesbian but I play one on tv.

If they are making copies of emails and uploading them to the system from their private email accounts then they haven't broken any laws.
