Stupid AC, movies are not games, in games you want the highest framerate possible because this (usually) means quicker response times from keyboard/mouse/gamepad, increasing the feeling of immersion in the game.

This is especially so with the Oculus Rift type headgear being developed, the less lag between your input and the computer's visual output the more immersed you feel, with movies you're simply an outside observer.

One of the places a velomobile would legally allowed to go but access (especially here in the UK) would often make it impossible to enter, which is why I really like my electric bike as it will happily go on roads and cycle tracks without fuss. But I wish the councils would fix the roads, pot holes are a bane (and sometimes danger) to the cyclist.

I had a small trackball for my Amiga which I stuck to the keyboard, it was convenient to have it there but I never found it as quick / precise / easy as a mouse, which I have yet to find a better alternative to for GUI control.

Touchscreens certainly have their place (phones/tablets etc.) but they are no match for a keyboard+mouse in many situations - just ask the gamers.

The laptop & USB touchpads with multi-touch are pretty nice to use; two finger scrolling instead using the edges of the pad, three finger for right click, the ability for pinch zoom is also handy, but they're still no match for a mouse IMHO.
