I don't understand how this could be a problem. He didn't falsely claim the store poisoned him or anything, he just simply stated out of the stores he's seen, it was one of the most dirty. That's just an opinion, and as far as I know we're still allowed to voice our opinion.

  2. How does stuff like this get modded so high? on Google Map To Real Piracy · · Score: 1

No offense, but the example you used to prove your point is absolutely terrible. You wrote:

The fact that the US cannot control it anymore validates the position that the US military is way overstretched and that our empire is on the decline.

These are very small fishing boats for god sake. You write like we used to somehow control all small forms of piracy but now we can't. Think about your point, it doesn't make sense.

Really, you're just writing to get modded up by all the Anti-American trolls on the site. Newsflash: The American Navy is not in danger of falling any time soon.. I'm too lazy to look them up, but simulations have been run where the U.S. navy can simultaneously engage all other navies of the world and come out victorious.

If you're going to predict the downfall of America, try using a different example.

I agree. In the beginning they had a very nice client, with some cool graphical features and an understandable results system, including a fun website to browse and look up statistics. I participated very eagerly with Team Picard and made it in the top ranks. Now the website is boring and the client is difficult to understand. Until they make it fun again, count me out.

You do realize that waiters/waitresses do this on purpose to get a bigger tip right? You probably sound like a jackass when bringing this to their attention...they are helping you out. For example, I took a few co-workers out to Hooters the other night. We ordered 9 pitchers of beer and were only charged for one. About a $65 dollar discount, so the waitress got a $40 tip for the beer. She's happy, we're happy, everyones happy.

  5. Have you ever tried looking at public schools? on Tech Jobs For a Student? · · Score: 1

I started working for a public school as a computer tech when I was 16. Since public schools are usually on a pretty tight budget, I've found a lot of them have no problem hiring younger people as long as they are capable. I worked at a smaller school and I learned quite a few things. My jobs included server maintenance, computer repair, network troubleshooting, server/client installs, running cable, working with projectors/scanners/printers, some light coding, and pretty much everything else you can imagine a school district would need. When I was 18, I was even promoted to Technology Coordinator for about 6 months until I went off to college. Not a bad wage for someone who literally just graduated from high school. The wages for a tech, while not usually outstanding, are probably a bit more lucrative than the ones most of your friends will have. In addition, you can make some pretty good contacts. Befriending the superintendent has proved useful many times, as his references are excellent. You may not want to end up in this area, but it's not a bad place to start.

Why not make a CAPTCHA system as follows. You design a CAPTCHA for your inbox, and anyone who sends you an e-mail immediately gets a reply asking for them to verify they are a person by answering your CAPTCHA. If they answer correctly, the message is put into your inbox.
