Civil discussion aside, as someone who drove for Uber for a while, I can say without a doubt that MIT's numbers are FAR closer to the truth than Uber's. MIT said their hourly pre-tax PROFIT was $3.37/hr. Uber says EARNINGS are $15.68/hr and I wouldn't be surprised if that is what UBER makes per hour from my gas, my car, my wear and tear. Uber takes more than half of the fare that the rider pays. Once I'd figured that out, it was "buh-bye" to Uber. In my opinion, Uber is just a wage slave operation with dubious ethics in almost all management roles.
If someone fraudulently creates an account in someone's name and then incurs charges on that account, that's at least fraud and probably ID theft. If anyone here reading did that, we'd be talking to a judge or sitting in a cell (eventually). Wells Fargo does it to millions and a few people lose their jobs. If corporations want to be considered "people" then they have to be accountable as "people". Equal Justice Under The Law must be applied to these at least a few of these C level executives before I'll believe that we all can expect the same treatment for the same offense.
Though some obfuscation might point elsewhere, this is state sponsored spyware. Despots, tyrants, and oligarchs HATE the idea that we might have conversations without them. It is hard to control a narrative if you're not privy to the conversation.
I first played this H2H against a buddy on a Pentium 166 Mhz with 64 MB RAM via a 33.6 kbps modem and STILL enjoy a round to this day. The original "craft" games were standard bearers for things to come and have yet to be overtaken.
Keywords "government job". Civil Service jobs are HARD to get fired from. You have to actually TRY to get fired in many cases. As much as I'd like to support your position in this debate(being a 40 something geek myself), I just can't.
You can build your own antenna for much less and it works a LOT better than anything in the 20-50 dollar range. Outdoor ariels are still better than those for the most part, just don't get suckered in to those "remotely adjustable directional" jobs. They're almost all cheaply made and the directional part breaks within the first year. As someone with limited options (only one) for cable and/or internet, I have spent much time and money investigating. My home made bowtie indoor gets 20 channels and I'm 30 miles from the nearest city with a broadcast tower.
If I had mod points to spend, would definitely mark this as Funny. People will find a way to get what they want if you don't provide a way to sell it to them in a fashion they find acceptable. This is why I still have a VCR. Try content blocking that 1985 VCR that has no macrovision (or any other DRM) built in.
The article is perpetuating the whole Boss Hog / Hazard County narrative. While there are some shady dealings in some rural places, it's mostly easier to see as the eyes that are on it don't have as far to look or as many people to look at. Recently our county passed a 1% tax to build a new courthouse as ours is over 100 years old. Certain members of the county seat were trying to push a deal to buy the local golf course (for an outrageous sum) as the place to build said courthouse. Everyone saw through that crony deal and the courthouse isn't being built on the golf course.

Worst case scenario is making nothing after fuel and maintenance.

This! And this again. If you're complaining and didn't read the 21 pages of legalese that we call a Terms of Service, then you need a better lawyer.

I wasn't aware that Jupiter had a moon in Antarctica either.
Always follow the money.
They say it's "unlocked" but just try using a Republic Wireless phone on another network.
Yeah! The government doesn't want people to pay artificially inflated prices... unless it is for health insurance or internet access.

Go team "Smelly bags of mostly water!" Way to humiliate those dry silicates!
Be vague.. and/or include a Death Match clause to decide who gets what.
Like... nobody will ever need more than 640K?
Downvoted by establishment shills.
Backups will still be available via FOIA from the Dept. of Homeland Security.

See my comment above.
