Firstly it's Microsoft selecting people, like they select people on their getthefacts site.
Secondly, asking people if they like an operating system... it's not like most people are going to be dicks and say "it sucks" to someone's face. If I was there I'd probably be encouraging and tell them I liked it too, doesn't mean I wouldn't switch from Ubuntu though.
Then maybe grandma should have gone to http://www.geni.com/ instead of wasting loads of money on genealogy software which doesn't work..
Yeah, yeah, I know. Didn't look at the options but maybe next time you should recommend it. Not only is it easier, it is more fun and the whole family can get involved.
Also means you don't need to be at your computer to show someone the tree.
One of the biggest issues I have with the build tools is that the prims that are the basic building blocks take up more verts then if I could just model what I wanted to in the first place.
This isn't the case every time but if you want to build something which has a lot of different curves in it you have to do some really ugly things to get it looking right and then it takes ages to download for anyone that visits. It's so stupid and Linden should just as you said, let people import simple.obj files.
There's so many things about object building, like the fact that they still haven't got a way for you to render text on a object without some horrible LSL hacks described on their wiki and even then LSL doesn't even have basic string functions such as substr.
The most criminal thing is how there is no support for youtube videos, etc. Is this still 1995 where.mov streaming is the shizniz?
Yes I know they are moving to mono and I don't care, Linden have shown that they can not maintain their servers (the server is down and we're working on getting it back up, update: ok it's back up, update: no wait it's down, update: now it's back up, update: wait, update: ok now the server is back up) or add features that would improve the visual experience.
The worse part about the whole experience from a private land owner's view is the whole stuck at the beach feeling. There's no deserts, rainforests, etc skyboxes so you're always on a square beach island.
On the Internet they have these things called "game reviews."
Except writing a bad game review gets you fired so they're not at all accurate and doesn't give you any idea how it will play on your computer, xbox or TV screen.
The history of game reviews is littered with bribery and it's still the case. Reviews are complete bullshit.
Yes, more disgusting because the innocent have done nothing wrong.
What part are you not understanding? Don't answer that was rhetorical and yes, I know your fucking stupid otherwise you wouldn't have replied to my post in the first place.
The drivers already exist all they have to do is release them. There has been numerous statements by organisations that will code drivers for companies, free of charge so I don't really see what you're talking about.
Also there's been an Nvidia bug that has been effecting the latest Trunk of the Ogre 3d engine on Linux. If we had access to the code, we wouldn't have to ask nvidia to check it out for us and there could already be a fix.
..and this is why i'll never use *BSD because the community is full of GPL troll shits like you that waste time whining about forced freedoms rather then making a better OS.
I mean, if someone in the corporation is obsessed enough to compile a list of all countries, even the ones barely qualified as country, how can (s)he forget to include palestine?
Just shows how ignorant you are really, most lists are copy and pasted from somewhere else.
Actually, yes, it is. Israel bulldozes homes of suicide bombers (basically the only way to punish a dead man, and discourage imitators - put his family out into the street)
That's the most disgusting thing I have ever heard. If you can't figure out what's wrong with punishing innocent people then you don't deserve to live on this planet.
My guess is NVIDIA is already prepared to release theirs, but they're waiting while AMD plays catch-up.
I have to disagree with you on that. My guess is that Nvidia aren't in any position to be able to release their drivers as open source.
Leaving legal problems of IP out of the argument there is DRM that they want kept secret, it's the a bit flip to change a GeForce card into a Quatro which they don't want your knowing about, their drivers contain lots of optimisations that they don't want anyone else to find out.
I think that unless ATI gains a significant unknown advantage over Nvidia which is related to their drivers being open source that they'll remain to be closed. That's my opinion anyway.
Are you seriously saying that the people of today can be compared to around 200 years ago?
He's also directly responsible for 911 and the killer tsunami in asia.

Wait, what?! Link please.

Here is the only video of OSCON 2008 I could find.
It's a shame really since I myself would never be able to go to the US to one so I wished they'd put more stuff up.
If anyone finds any more videos please reply.
Since when has html allowed you to write and format on A4 represented pages. What a stupid suggestion.
I disagree with SDL. pyglet would be a much better idea.

interplay didn't and haven't "folded" unless you mean sold the rights to Lost Vikings.
Interplay is still doing business.

How am I suppose to tell grandma to do that.. frankly if you need a command line to do that it's not ready for desktop.
Ubuntu Hardy is on gnome 2.22.2

No, I have a problem is punishing the innocent. That's exactly what I said above or are you just fucking retarded?
What's sad is that an asshole changes your opinion rather then looking at the OS yourself.
The drivers already exist all they have to do is release them. There has been numerous statements by organisations that will code drivers for companies, free of charge so I don't really see what you're talking about.
Nvidia drivers don't work on PPC, etc.

Burma for one is recognised as well under the name Myanmar and their leader is a corrupt mass murderer of his own people and lets not forget Mugabe.
woosh!
Only dumb shit here is you! lol

yeah because no one uses 3d graphics on Linux.. CGI movies, weather prediction, flood simulation, physics... oh wait!
