When in Thailand I had the best phone contract ever with DTAC, 8 pounds a month, free phone calls any time for as long as I wanted to 5 selected numbers including 500 hours internet usage.
To ask for such a price in the places such as England would get you laughed out the shop.
I'm not mad at all and I have given a lot to both projects.
My point is that there is a myth that "if you build it they will come", it's not true because people want the reputation for contributing to popular projects not my useful but no name projects. It doesn't look as impressive on their CV.

I have a few developers on one project that have never really contributed anything too, I have tried several methods in motivating them but all I get is the one liner commited from them and then nothing for years.
I wish I had an answer to this problem, but I don't think there is one. Everyone is interested in the popular projects and the rest are left out.
I was about to mention the same thing here, they censor a ton of keywords and worse of all they don't send any error notice, it looks like it went through on your end and on the other side it look like you didn't send a message.

So they help 3% of all street robberies.. How about just last week there was an episode on TV of the police catching a Russian dude walking down the street with blood on his shirt and carrying two butchers knifes. It looked like something out of manhunt, that's not included in your "statistic".
The fact remands, without the cameras they wouldn't know he was there and he could have killed more people before anyone reported it.
I'm sure there are WAY more examples but this just goes to show the illogic of slashdot mindthink, since it only stops 3% of the statistic I pulled out my ass we need to get rid of it, while ignoring all the other things it prevents.
Thanks but I'd rather keep the cameras, they're useful even if it helps with only 1% of crimes because I'd hate for it to be me the one time I get assaulted in the street and there's no proof of the guy that did it. Likewise if I am convicted of murder and there's no CCTV evidence to prove I wasn't in the area.
In fact I wished they'd put a camera where I cross the road and punish those tards that almost hit me in their flashy sports cars while doing 80mph past the pedestrian crossing. Of course then slashtards would be complaining about the "money maker" cameras, yeah whatever keep complaining you rich old farts..

Beryl was much better then the piece of crap Compiz was and is now... Maybe it'll change but for me Beryl was much more stable and definably the better product.. now it's merged it looks like they just got rid of everything which made Beryl great for me.
