    The US Treasury Department is the branch that stole the domains, they ordered eNom to remove them, you can twist it anyway you want. If it wasn't for the US government's interference they'd still be up and he'd still be making the usual amount of money.

    They did it on purpose, would you RTFA already...

    The part where the US government took, cuba-hemingway.com, cuba-havanacity.com, ciaocuba.com and bonjourcuba.com? or the part where the US government or eNom didn't return Mr Marshall's Money or transfer his domain names to an EU registrar for free?

    From the article you obviously didn't read..

    Charles S. Sims, a lawyer with Proskauer Rose in New York, said the Treasury Department might have gone too far in Mr. Marshall's case.

    "The U.S can certainly criminalize the expenditure of money by U.S. citizens in Cuba," Mr. Sims said, "but it doesn't properly have any jurisdiction over foreign sites that are not targeted at the U.S. and which are lawful under foreign law."
    ...

    But Mr. Marshall's case does not appear to be one of mistaken identity. The government quite specifically intended to interfere with his business.
    The fact that you ignore evidence pushed right in front of your face makes me sick.

    It's different in that NiN are saying free or $5+.. That means a whole range of people who think it's worth less then $5 are being left out and are going to choose the free option instead of handing over something that they think is reasonable.

    I can understand why they did it, they're afraid people won't donate more then $5 so that start at a base minimum, but I am more inclined to think that it stops people giving you money rather then limits the amount of money that people have given them so far.

    More research needed.

    I think street view is an awesome idea with so many possibilities.

    Not only does it help with navigation, I get to see more of the world without having to actually go there, if you look at some of the 3D video streaming tech it's like being a tourist you get to watch people going about their daily lives.

    Not only this but I can see this being great for teaching car AI.

    I don't think the privacy thing is really an issue as the people complaining about it stay in their basements complaining about Google anyway..

    By the time Blue Ray makes any real impact at all a better storage medium will be avaliable that beats BR out of the water.

    Why? Because the Castro government confiscated (read "stole") all property in Cuba that was owned by US private citizens and corporations and has not to this day compensated them for their losses. Why? Because the US government confiscated (read "stole") EU domain names in the US that was owned by EU private citizens and corporations and has not to this day compensated them for their losses.

    The US government is afraid Americans who go there would turn communist.. This is all about Communism, that's why you're not allowed to go there, because you might be re-educated.

    Developer -> Company -> User -> Whoever [Third Party]

    -> = Distribution/Re-Distribution

    It doesn't mean it's a free for all on asking for the source from the company, it means whoever you give to code to it has to say GPL, even if you're a third party such as "whoever" above.

    Meh, I wouldn't believe Zend. They're in corporation with Microsoft to provide better interoperability... They're not going to go into a deal with Microsoft and then say, "Still sucks on Windows server" are they?

    Surely it should also run better on all windows servers so why just 2008? Unless they're trying to find reasons for you to upgrade..

    That's not exactly the same.. Take my library for example all machines are set to boot correctly and the cases are physically locked to their location. Also looks a lot less suspicious when you're not ripping the guts out of a machine that it's obvious you don't own in public..

    Do you seriously not know what distribution and re-distribution means? It has nothing to do with money.

    You're not their customer so they don't have to give you anything.

    Only Cittio's customers (the ones receiving the product) could ask for the source code, because they're redistributing to them, not you. Cittio's customers could then re-distribute that GPL code however they wished.

    Not only that, they only have to provide the source code to the person they're redistributing to under the same license if they changed anything, that doesn't include you, because you're not their customer.

    If there's something they've changed in your project then purchase a copy and put the changed code in your version, since any modified GPL code must be re-distributed as GPL code.

    People say the same things about Ubuntu, it's not Microsoft specific. If MS can't handle complaints that all OS developers get then maybe they should get out of the business.
