Not converting units is an implementation flaw. The tragedy was that it made it past QA. Not taking plate displacement into account (if it is, in fact, an issue) is a negligent planning.
Exactly... entertainment. Imagine if the sound of a home run smash happens at the appropriately delayed time then all of the sudden the position of the camera is brought to the forefront of the viewers mind. Wait... there's a camera? Oh yeah, this is a movie. The POV is a very important device in filmmaking but it's rarely used to allow the viewer to identify any kind "on the day" spacial relationships. What if a zoom lens was used... what is the perceived distance?
I love when films to it right but when they do it's because it is a major element of the film. 2001s quiet space scenes were there to convey the pace and isolation of working/living/traveling in space.
But John Woo shotguns still work for me regardless:)
This is bordering on alarmist... just gotta bad mouth Vista some more eh? Unsupported simply means that they won't testify in court that they guarantee that these applications will work 100%.
Of those 800 applications, the reason Firefox, OO, Adobe, etc. were singled out was to instigate anti MS sentiment. While, it's not too tough, you have to realize that's all it is... not news.
Almost everything you mentioned have huge IO delays that aren't necessarily indicative of a problem with Vista. CD/DVD access is hideous on cheap drives; wireless is... well... wireless.
The dialog prompting for every little thing you want to do is a problem but unrelated to performance.

I was just transmogrifying what was already said :)

So do you bastardizate things? Not everything that ends in 'ation' gets an 'ate' at the end.

Amen!
InterPlaNet? When the time comes is Pluto going to get shafted again?
