    Actually yes.
    There is this theory to account for the difference in the observed and expected rotational curves of spiral galaxies without the need for dark matter.

    Though dark matter seems to be the favored model today, this is not totally out of the window.

    It's about the detection area. You can't pave the earth with detectors (half) the surface area of the moon. Or well - maybe you can but that would cost a lot more than a single indirect detector using the moons surface.

    Exactly - and if a society is at a point where you do not even get to mediocrity with a full time job, you need a solution for that.

    So - any ideas except minimum wages? Or do you prefer to continue with rants and insults?

    But those on that wage level won't have lost anything either.

    And I think a minimum wage wouldn't have a major influence on inflation.

    One problem today is the loss of jobs due to more and more automation and outsourcing of manual labor.
    Naturally this causes a drop of wages in certain professions because of less demand.
    My opinion is that a society shouldn't allow wages to drop below a level where you can't make a living by a full time job.

    Not because I'm so good at heart but because of all the related problems with poverty and crime that come with those low wages.

    So - minimum wages seem to be a good idea to me - but I'm always open for better solutions.

    Thats because minimum wages don't cause inflation but a one time price raise at best.

    But of course he completely misses the irony that he and the rest of the North Korean elite were enjoying a newly build *ski resort* (quite literally "trampling" the workers in the process) while a significant portion of the population is near-starving, and any citizen who points that fact out is sent to a forced labor camp.

    Patience. Western elites are working on evening out the situation.

    Under no sensible system should fewer than 1% of the population own and control 95%+ of the wealth...

    I agree with that.

    And I have no solution either. I just think that cutting money for food stamps is a step in the wrong direction.

    Did you take into account that more and more automation in production does call for less workforce.

    And maybe the assumption that everybody on foodstamps is refusing to be productive or is generally useless is a bit broad.

    Depends on the quality of loot they drop.
