    It is clear to me that President Obama is an person is does not really believe Global Warming to be a major problem. Because nuclear power is a workable way to reduce Green house gases; but Democrats want nothing to do with real solutions; they just want reasons to tax and tax and tax. Tim S

    Personally I believe the northern hemisphere is getting warmer; but, the evidence, in my opinion, that the southern hemisphere is getting warm is not there. The number of reports of the southern hemisphere that say it is same or getting cooler seems to me to be much greater than the number saying it is getting warmer. Note, I am just a person how pays attention to reported new stories, so the scientific reports might differ. Tim S

    I hope the plan keeps in mind the feeder system. The Bus system in Fort Wayne, IN fails in my opinion because there are few side walks for the people to get to and from bus stops. So, the train system should have local rail/bus system connections. Tim S

    That is what I thought also; but, my EET professor said there is also capacitors in the local neighborhoods to balance out the inductance load in homes. Note, I assumed they were mounted on the poles, but maybe they are on the ground. Tim S

    Actually, you are incorrect. While it is possible to produce reactive power using capacitor or indicutor banks, it's expensive and comes with a host of problems. Most of the reactive power used to support the bulk electric system is generated via traditional power plants. Besides, see my response below to see why even a tiny increase (or decrease) in reactive power requirements is big $$$.

    So, those big Cylindrical unis on Power Poles are a figment of my imagination and are not capacitor banks. I do agree that there should be an improvement in Power Factor of CFLs, but it is not as important as you think it is to solve. Tim S

    I have been Goggling some results that support part of you claims; I get results on Third report that has non human causes being mentioned. But, am I correct that you comments, implies that IPCC does not fund, direct, or otherwise control Climate Research? Instead, your view is they just compile the results into reports?
