I also have a 6150 on my abit X2 board. Are you using the nvidia proprietary drivers? If not, that could be your problem. It was mine way back when. Suspend-to-ram has worked for Kubuntu 6.x - 8.10 with these drivers. Sometimes nvidia gets behind the latest kernel, but 8.10 is using 2.6.27 and the nvidia drivers were ready on the release date through the "Hardware Driver" applet. Pretty painless except for the nvidia download speeds yesterday. Sorry, not sure about Ubuntu, but I'll go out on a limb and say it should be fine. My boxes (I also have a GeoForce 6600 in an x86 configuration) sleep tight.
My soul always goes to the highest bidder. Sometimes I put a bow around it. And I tend to agree with Satan, souls are not as greasy as snake oil and they're not as hard on allergies as fairy dust.
Anyway, bye now, I have to get back to the North Pole. It's already October and you don't even want to read the hate mail I get when I f*ck up a Christmas order. But if all the recent financial news hasn't got you too down, you could really help me out by getting out there and shopping. I would imagine that the $800+ billion has dried by now.
I'm one of the less lucky ones that only have half of hibernation working, the "resume" part fails.
Sorry to hear that, but I used to be one of you until I compiled in the Nvidia drivers (I also keep my kernels fairly up-to-date). Now both my AMD and Intel ABIT boards sleep very nicely. The impression I get is that 99% of the Linux suspend/resume problems are video driver related. And now that AMD/ATI have released some 'stuff', you might want to look into it.
There's even an evolutionary argument for religion (promotes social cohesion).
Doesn't it really just promote fear of the unknown with a little segregation thrown in for good measure? I prefer my dogma to boldly go where no one has gone before. You know, like black chicks kissing white dudes on TV.
i have yet to see any Picasso sketches that demonstrate technical skill beyond what an ordinary individual can draw simply by doodling in the margins of their class notes.
i'm not saying he's not a talented artist or that he doesn't deserve his fame, but he doesn't possess the technical mastery of realist or impressionist painters such as van Gogh, Manet, Monet, Pissarro, etc.
Well, if you can manage to put the blotter down, why don't you start at age 14:
Uh...you couldn't be more wrong about Picasso. It is scary how technically gifted he was. You've been brainwashed by his pop images. Which might have been his ultimate goal.
My situation is most people's situation. You too have AC outlets in your home, right? You too buy gadgets that only come with wall warts, yes? To refresh your memory, here's what I originally responded to:
Ahhh... but say you want the car charger? That'll be an extra $25.
I have one solution to my needs. I didn't say it was the best or most efficient. But it's one, not two. In this case, one being better than two. So, that's what I would like you to argue, the one vs two. The $25 vs $0.
Well, IMO, it certainly is the current (pun intended) way to go. Why wouldn't my car infrastructure match my home infrastructure? My car also has 12V DC in the center console and the trunk. I'm not sure how it works, but I doubt the AC in my car is being converted from DC (hopefully only in some UPS mode). 'cause that would be silly for a moving anything with a motor.
Coleman's hot date put it so well, "Why can't we have both?"
Everything everybody is saying about USB goes without saying. So...I won't.
You think your post is flamebait? Flamebait usually elicits a response about the flamebait's content. No, I would say your response is more like an idiot beacon.
There are more pressing concerns in the world than software, and no, getting rid of proprietary software won't magically fix disease, starvation, etc (cue the "but we empower nations to fix their own problems with free software!!!" responses)
How the fuck do you know? Thanks, but I'll answer this question myself. You don't know and most likely you're wrong. Here's a quarter.
Extra, extra! Better, cheaper tools make worse, more expensive ones unsellable! Film at 11.
Doubtless. But inferior, cost-free tools sometimes make better, commercial ones unsellable. That is the tragedy. I'm sorry, but this is not true nor is it a tragedy. Free software has created an actual free market thus your definition of "better" is one-dimensional and wrong. Granted, it's possible that human reality can't handle such a market but that doesn't make it a tragedy. It's more like a progress experiment.
shouldn't they be filtering "christian" instead of "abortion?"
For those that don't remember, removing this international family planning funding was the first thing d*ckhead did after his inauguration.
Yeah, sorry, just mpeg 2 for linux. Bummer. Now I'm mildy pissed.
You're in there:

It's official, you're a f*cking idiot.
<handwaving>Bye now.</handwaving>
i don't see any reason to be asshole about it.
Isn't freedom-of-speech cool! I thought the same of your post.

I don't mind people having strong opinions, but I do mind people having strong uninformed opinions.

For the time being my host file is working great. Now if I could just get off this f*ckin' XP...
Ahhh... but say you want the car charger? That'll be an extra $25.

You lost your argument at: "I'm generally a libertarian but..."

My VW has AC right behind the center console. Me happy and cursing less.
"We have to move past Furher Yay Transfers!"
Funniest sh*t I read in a week. Thanks.

You owe me for half of my breakfast that I just lost.
Please come back to reality. We might need you.
Immediate runoff elections might be a good start. But again, good luck seeing that in this country's lifetime.

Thanks for the laugh. I give you a 6.
