Someone on your side made this a lot more complicated than it needed to be. Apple doesn't require every user to sign up as a developer unless you're doing it wrong.
I hate the term "developmental disorder." Many autistics are smarter than regular people. If it weren't for autistics, we would have never gotten to the moon.
For most people, autism and ADD are mutually exclusive. Most autistics can focus on one thing for hours at a time. You might have meant that OCD and autism overlap, though.
At first I though you were saying it's a long time at minimum wage in your country but then I did the math. If I understand you correctly, $10 per hour minimum wage * 40 hours/week * 1/4 = $100. A bit higher than the minimum wage ($7.25 per hour but may be higher in some states) in the U.S. which would require about 1/3 of the minimum wage (with a week's work).
You're thinking federal income tax. There's also state income tax, city income tax, school district income tax, Social Security tax and Medicare tax. Other than state income tax, these taxes start with the very first dollar of wages. Then the employer has to match Social Security and Medicare and also pay federal and state unemployment tax plus workers' compensation insurance, again, starting with the first dollar of wages. That's why poor people pay more as a percentage than rich people do.
I don't have time to check your links, but I want to add that many businesses labeled "failures" were actually bought by other companies. Some naive researchers assumed that every startup no longer in business was a failure. They didn't even look for businesses that moved to another state.

Updates are a bonus, but when apps start dying because the phone hasn't been updated, we have a problem. My wife's HTC Droid Eris can't run Lexulous, Facebook, Twitter anymore (they used to run fine) but it's less than two years old.
My wife's HTC Droid Eris received one update and that was it. It was up to date for two months. Although it was a decent Android device, it wasn't particularly a good phone. At the end, before her phone was even two years old, her apps stopped working, one by one. First it was Lexulous, then Twitter, then Facebook. Without apps, what good is it? If you call HTC, they'll just say, "Sorry about your luck; upgrade to a new phone!" So she got an iPhone 4S which should last at least three and maybe four years, unlike ANY Android phone.
Ultimately, the problem with Android is that very few phones ship with a current version of Android. Even those that ship with a current version rarely keep up. Michael DeGusta created a great graphic showing this. My wife's HTC Droid Eris is virtually unusable even though it's still on a two-year contract. Hence my sig line.
I highly doubt Apple is expecting 4 owners, still under contract, to pay a penalty to upgrade to 4S. There are plenty of people like me for whom the 4S is their first iPhone.
Whoosh! You missed it. He's saying that there will be new gas 65 million years from now due to all the animals (including people) who die from the supervolano.
Just keep drinking that BlackBerry Kool-Aid. It will never rot your teeth; that's just and urban legend.

A highly-intelligent autistic can compensate. Temple Grandin is a good example. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates: seriously.

Still, in my world, $99 isn't a barrier to entry.

sarcasm I sell my app for free and I sold way more than 143 copies but I'm not even making enough to cover the $99. /sarcasm

I am part of the 99%; how about you?

I use fb as a basic blog and make my Notes public. I have no problem with them being searchable. After all, only people with a fb account can comment.

Michael said he's going to keep the chart up to date as time goes on.
Isn't it ironic that everything Apple sells runs on some form of OS X?
As RIM found out with the PlayBook.
The solution, of course, is to root it. But I simply don't have time for that. I want Something That Just Works.

Apple doesn't always sell directly to consumers. What about the ones sold through Verizon, AT&T and Sprint stores?

You can replace Siri the app with Vlingo the app. Free.
No, we haven't had an article on bitcoin or air-powered cars lately. Correction: We did have a bitcoin story about it losing 90% of its value.
Some of us are internationally savvy enough to just handle it. Others, not so much.
