It's probably because the games from Japan (which is what I assume you mean by East) are very innovative and strange. Games from the West focus overwhelmingly on killing monsters/people. And, don't get me wrong, they are spectacular at it. You just need a change once in a while. And the Japanese take more risks with their games, focusing on more abstract concepts or brightening up a more hum-dum, every day concept to be more fun.
Oh yeah. A digitized husky female voice speaking out of my pants isn't annoying to bystanders at all.
Though, I don't understand why people don't put Simpsons sound bites as their cell ringtone. That might be mildly entertaining if you have a new audience each time.
What if they're just like us right now? They're pretty good at cryptography. They can decode a message pretty well. Along with a developed knowledge of logic, principles of biology, etc.
We just couldn't reproduce a creature from the DNA sequence alone just yet. We would need some help on getting the conditions just right.
There is a gray area. It's not just either they can or they can't.
Also, why would we want the aliens to reproduce an earth creature?
No,it's not quite like that. It's more like knowing the machine code, but not knowing the machine. The DNA would need to be in a certain environment to start functioning and multiplying.
I think it's probably really easy to compress something consisting of 4 letters (it's 4, right?) in various sequences. I'm sure you could get it down to almost a quarter of its size...
I'm not sure whats wrong. Its probably just overloaded because phreedom is using the same source and its working beautifully for me (even with my firewall).
All those aren't indicators of what investors think of it, though, its just what the reality of its situation is:) They're two different things most of the time.
Actually, Linux's true advancement is in the way its designed which makes it more stable, bug-free, and flexible. I think this gives it the potential to become waaaay more technologically advanced in the future, but I don't know how much ahead it is in advancements over other existing OSes...
The point was that Cisco is growing really fast. In fact, it is surpassing a giant like Microsoft in its size without too many people complaining about their market dominance. It also signifies how networked our society is becoming. It is more important as an indicator of whats to come and not what has already happend.

Hey, I liked the Neverending Story. Well, the first one, anyways. I liked the theme song, too.
"Don't you die on me, puppy-dragon!"
(Okay, so that wasn't an actual quote, but it was such a surreal movie, it might as well have been.)
How did she keep them on? Glue?
Did she link them with paperclips into a candy-based chainmail?
Was she laying down the whole time?
I am lost in a sea of questions, Joel.

Batman?
In order to raise the odds of someone being able to use the DNA, you'd have to assume that the alien race won't be very advanced at all.

So long as can get past the copywrite burn protection, that is.
That'd be funny. You pop your genome CD into your Mac and it fries the shit out of it!

Hell, no! It would be a bitch to make a whole new set of logos and t-shirts! :)
Well, not until we know what the court's verdict on Microsoft will be :)
Cool! An international pissing contest!
I doubt the point was to insult Microsoft as much as it was to show the might of Cisco.
