    I think that there is something very important not being said here. Global warming is still going to be a problem. Global warming is not caused by ozone depletion and will continue, predictions right now are of up to a 11 degree increase in the next 100 years.

    now if you read carefully it says of "anyone" being hurt, that means there is 1 in 10000 chance of it hitting some random escimo thats in the wrong place at the wrong time. not a 1 in 10000 chance for each of us to get hit

    some of the genetically altered tomatoes have caused problems. mainly in that people allergic to fish(fish genes are used in the tomatoe to make it a "cold weather" tomatoe) i dont know if there have been any accually injuries because of this.

    I know when i frist took a programming class i was required to buy Masm and unfortunatly i registered it, and to this day i continually get mail from MS. come to this dev convention get this student software. the only really funny part about it is that i'm sure that they have no clue what i do for a kliving and could be someone who took one programming class.(of course not likely with asm but oh well)

    Under US law corparations are allowed all rights and freedoms that a induvidual is.

    I think this is one of the major problem with the court system, they allow huge companies with tons of money to basically bring continual lawsuits against people. i can not remember a time in the last 5 years that a major media company hasn't been sueing someone for violations of their 1st amendment rights.

    yeah then you take the picture home and put whatever date you want on it after you scan it onto photoshop. Pictures haven't been accepted as proof for anything in a while.

    Correct me if i'm wrong but current handhelp GPS technology does not allow you to determine your exact position due to military restrictions. This is accomplished by not giving the real algorithm that the GPS satelites run off of but a inexact version thereof. If this is true then whoever controls the GPS sattelites(US govt. i think) could alter the signals to allow a direct data stream from a GPS unit to be identified as either a true or false stream using the real algorithm through some sort of authentication server. of course it would be really scary if any govt had control of this, but hey it might work

    ok maybe i'm wrong but it seems like you could easily do this with a simple script, just ping every user that request your web page then use a lookup table to determine where the IP's physical location probably is. it seems like this is a very bogged down way to go about this.
