    hey, in fact most of the people that accually broke things(i hesitate to use the term riot because it was much more organized than a riot) were FROM THE USA, thats right, anarchist in our own back yard. most of the europeans were with the group that got gassed for no reason.

    how about this. i have been stoped at every single metal detector i have been through in the last 3 years, be it my steel toe boots or wallet chain. despite this i have never attempted to shoot anyone. I really am bother when security guards have to run that stupid little wand all over til they find the toes of my boots or some change i forgot about, or even sometimes i just have lots of zippers. and on top of that all you needed to do until recently to get a gun on a plane was get a fake FBI badge and lie to the security guards and they would let you through. this doesnt make me paranoid, it makes my Annoyed.

    and with a pres like this i am getting more scared everyday.

    leave california, surely you jest. where would i go. certainly not the anywhere else in the US, and i have heard it is very difficult to get work visas for european countries. do you think i could apply for political asylum?

    i think the end idea of this technology is obvious, at some point everyone will be wandering around seemingly talking to themselves like crazy people, while really on their cell phone.

    i am all for this because i feel it finally destroy that age old stigma that talking to yourself has.

    dreamcast games dont accually run off of ce, they also only use it for function such as the web browser. because of this there is no compatibility through ce, unless they wanted to make a crappy emu, but it is MS, so you never know.

    they dont specifically require an airbag but they do require a "passive restraint device" these days this is normally an airbag but it can also be an automatic seatbelt.

    no it doesnt, specifically because the DENSITY of the transistors has increased and not just the total number of transistor. and this comp is not a petaflop machine it is a 100teraflop machine, they hope to someday build a petaflop computer using the technowlogy developed in this prototype. because of this your calculations are wrong.

    no, this doesnt suspend Moore's Law it only by passes it. Moores Law is only in reference to the density of transistors on a chip. This machine uses massive parallel proccessing to compensate for the transistor density on the individual chips.

    the censorship issue: one of the points of freenet is to allow web pages to link to files on freenet. as illustrated by the decss case, this is not necessarily any protection against laws. the courts can just make it illegal to link to certain articles/media on free net. on top of that, there was this article explaining new software for isp that allows specialized filtering, even to the point of deneying asll access to freenet, which is discused in the article. so tho ian clarke may not be able to stop freenet once it gets started, major isp and may plaay it safe and block all freenet trafic.
