Except our campus had a student Microsoft representative, and to get the software you had to bring your resume to one of his talks. A lot of those that got the software, however, wound up selling it on eBay. Not bad if you needed to pay for beer.
I bought a Dell 720 XPS the day after Christmas. I was going to buy an XPS 420, but Dell is (or was) only offering XP OEM on the 720's.
And if you want an Alienware with XP in lieu of Vista, you're going to pay extra.
It's about time. I commute daily on I-270 and see these violators all the time. They think there are ways to get around it. They put manikins in their cars, they'll ride the lane when it's raining out (assuming bacon doesn't want to pull them over), or here's the worst - putting a "Baby on Board" suction to the window and having a baby seat in the back. PLEASE!
It's about time these morons get caught and fined. Fines are usually $500+, but no points are assessed. I hope that changes, too.
She can easily prove she didn't intend to distribute. The only thing she has to cry about is the time a case like this is going to take out of her schedule and paycheck.
This really is quite silly. If you're listening to stock message boards for your advice on what to buy, then you really need to find yourself a living, breathing broker. With all the spam I get on nickel stocks, schemes to make thousands of dollars a day, etc a message board is just more crap to filter through. Why would I want to read one? More so, why would I want to post to one?
Why the hell not? It's time for these monolithic dinosaur companies to stop doing business as usual and start growing up to accept change. This is America, and we have a little something called competition and capitalism. When you start bitching about other companies trying to come in and steal your turf, you only make yourself look like an ass. ATT has done this, again.
If you ask me, this has a lot to do with a little something that begins with the letter i....
This really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. If the "axe" as we're calling it is so close, then these companies are really going to need time to adjust accordingly. Those who can't afford to play ball with the RIAA are going to start looking at their other options (if they haven't already done so!), such as memberships, commercial partnerships, etc.
I can actually see this dragging out longer. Can you imagine the amount of paperwork they're burried in?
Does anyone know if I can play EQ2 on one of these bad boys? Anyone know if any games like EQ2/WoW will run on multiple displays? Are there any games out there that can do this? 4x4 Minesweeper FTW! lolz...
Did MS even offer to replace this man's games? We live in a sad world when people start suing over their video games. Legal action should only be used as a last resort.
There are bigger fish to fry out there (i.e. HMOs) over more serious matters. Crap like this doesn't deserve a day in court.
Yeah, there are a lot of noticeably absent companies. How did Booz Allen make the list, yet I don't see Lockheed Martin? and yeah...Google? WTF.
Was this survey only done on companies willing to participate?...
I agree. The biggest drawback IMHO to buying this guy is simply the service agreement I'll be signing at the cash register. I currently use Verizon, so I'm pretty much SOL unless I want to break my contract.
If the iPhone really does start any kind of revolution, then it needs to learn how to play with others first.
Sorry dude. It seems like everyone can't get over the fact you're building in New Orleans. Maybe if you build elsewhere we could give you some real constructive advice.
I found it impossible to believe there wasn't one ounce of lead in that building (or Gothem, for that matter!) that would disrupt the signal/image.

I'll be damned if I ever play EQ2 on a laptop!
One word: Kickbacks.

Good god, that's one expensive smoothie! Have to admit, though, it put up a pretty good fight in those first few whacks!
I find it hilarious the news stations are calling this "the Jesus phone". I, for one, am going to wait for the second coming.
Don't forget alright! It's ALL RIGHT.
But wouldn't you consider the iPod functionality to be the killer app?

Reticulating splines... and demagogues.

Was this seriously a contest, or a barometer for CNBC (and any other partners) to track good traders and potentially profit from?

It's bad enough that we have to wait until 2008 for the next episode. SciFi has really shot themselves in the foot by letting this series go.
TEE HEE, 5318808! Dude, turn the calculator upside down!
This, coming from the same school who had students (from an intro to physics class!) expelled just a few years ago thanks to turnitin!
cigarette lighter and leatherman...then you'll truly have all you need in the palm of your hand
