I hear your point, but I'm curious. How does being a monopolist make a difference? If they bundle safari (which it sounds like they do) than how is that different than MS bundling IE? It is an OS forcing a browser on you. Can I get mad at blackberry for forcing me to use their browser on there phone? How about the iPhone using safari? Can I change that?
All I hear is because MS is bad. And they lost. I guess I look at it this way. Torts are utilized to leverage other cases. MS case is now a tort (I'm not lawyer, so lawyer can correct if I use wrong terms.). So utilizing this Tort, i can now extrapolate that all OS's should allow all options. But this isn't true. Only MS is picked on.

Is he awake? This is silly. I work for a company that is world wide. Either someone stays up late or gets up early. Even with timezones, if you want a face to face across video conference, someone is out of there element. Having time zones doesn't changes this or effect this.
I work graveyards. So you can take people work around 8-5 and go elsewhere. Lots of people work shift work. On one given day this we we have 13 start times of shifts anywhere from 30 minuets to 12 hours.

Yes the day would still change, but at least it is half the conversion.

Honestly, the graphics can be akin to SC4, or maybe less. But I want a true Sim City, that is 3d so you can build roads anywhere, and runs on something akin to there agent system. I know pretty graphics are.. well pretty, but I just want the sim.

I have no script installed. I don't like pop ups and annoying things while trying to read. I would never have known this site had this unless I read this and I purposely allowed that site to see it. Just asking, how would I know the gate in front is locked if you have a giant hole in back? And no signs saying to don't enter.

Some of the attitudes around here amaze me. For instance, all this "means testing" by which people lose benefits when they start to get an income of their own is entirely the doing of conservative "business friendly" Republicans in our society. They don't want government programs to be successful so they deliberately engineer in failure--that way they can "prove" that government programs are not successful. Also, by marginalizing poor people and attaching a stigma to being unemployed (even in a bad economy) they make these programs easier to cut.
I do not know what all you are talking about. I referred to one person, and that one person told me, when they got government aided housing, if they started making more than they were making at the time they would loose it. They didn't have a job. By going and getting a job, they would affectedly be "making more" and they would loose the housing.

You rant about socialism etc. If you read my post, I said something that some would classify as socialism sounded like a good idea. Else where I talked about housing. It was mentioned that the house rates keep going up because now foreign rich people are buying them. The longer I live the more I'm inclined to feel that above a certain pay grade no one should make more. Why? All it does is cause greedy people to want more for the sake of more? Do I want to be rich? No, I want one house for my family. And a few nice things. I think everyone else should have that as well.
This sounds good. I have never been on America unemployment, but i have heard it is easy to game one of many different "free money (to person receiving, not my taxes) deals. I feel our systems needs some modifications.
I was stuck in day long meetings 4-8 hours, and it produced, 2 hours of coding. Of which, by the end, I was doing, in the meeting, on the fly, because I wrote psydo table code that wrote the long code (webpages with same features over and over) and was bored.
If your entire population over night lost 50% of there wages and could not afford to pay the banks/landlords/etc. What would happen?
Would housing go down to meet the new lower adjusted income? You could charge that extra 50%, but if no one could afford it, and you didn't get anything for doing it, would you?
Would housing stay the same? Everyone lives in the streets, or illegally in housing they can't afford? Because someone "bigger" told them 4 walls is worth 50% more than everyone in the country can afford?
Another Option I can't think of???

Now, do I expect that person to ever do a great job? No, but I think in this one case, if they were guaranteed a livable income, they might go find some little job for a little extra. I used to be way on one side, I'm much more open to the idea of listening to what people have to say. I don't know what the answer is, but I don't think America is doing great right now; whatever you attribute it to.
I understand that standard grammar and spelling is new. Everyone spelled and punctuated differently, yet the world still went around. I believe this is around Ben Franklin time.
