  1. Re:Another MMO? on Star Wars MMO Estimated To Cost $100M · · Score: 1

As much as I like things Star Wars(particularly legos) I don't think I could get into a Star Wars MMO. As a "veteran of WoW" the thought of a sci-fi MMO is neat but needs to be something new and fresh IMO.

The navy seal strike preempted the RIAA strike by a week, he's probably lucky.

I have loaded opensuse, fedora, chakra, mint, ubuntu, sabayon and more on various laptops/netbooks and they all had multiple profiles for power management and cpu behavior. I would disagree about jumping the bandwagon on flashy UI's.

  7. depends on New Houses Killing Wi-Fi · · Score: 1

Probably depends on the area and building styles / economic status. Homes around Northern MI are largely particle-board, I can't see that causing any hindrance to wireless signals.

  8. unity on Ubuntu: Where Did the Love Go? · · Score: 1

I find it amusing he mentioned Ubuntu as "ripping off debian", so by that means how many other distros are ripping off debian, or even ubuntu... I disregard the entire article as bunk, there is only a single mention of the change to the unity desktop, which explain most of the "unexplainable" changes he brings up. The unity desktop is also in a very alpha state and will undoubtedly change substantially prior to a beta release and it will feature functionality similar to the mac by moving the menubar into a taskbar/panel. This will obviously (probably) not be the choice for ppl with 24" monitors, but will be beneficial to smaller PCs. Jason

  10. my metrics on Google Fires Back About Search Engine Spam · · Score: 1

Well google fails my metrics. Usually the top 5 results of most searches consist of content farms or articles around 5 years of age. Why are older articles weighted more than new articles, I want relevant info!

  11. formula error on IBM Challenges Microsoft with Free Office Suite · · Score: 1

OO values blank cells as 0 and formulas come out happy. Symphony interprets blank cells as null and formulas die. I played with it for as long as it took to download the newest OO and couldn't find a way to change blank cell evaluation. Anybody else deal with this... If I were to try it again, would I need to insert a 0 in every blank cell that is part of a formula...
