I am going to Cuba in about 6 weeks. We will be doing a 'mission' down there, spreading the word of the Bible [God/Jesus etc] and what a time it will be. btw, I am not LDS, just a true Christian, rocking for the Lord, I know alot here [and techs in general] don't like/believe/care about God. But, take your greatest imaginiation of God [Bible God], you cannot come up with anything more, our imagination is finite... also. The better man stands up, over the guy he is helping up.
I am all for the NOSs, opensource...sorta, but Linux, a bunch of 14 year olds, leading the world makes me want to call my mommy. MS either makes standards, or follows them. They have been great in both, I think that when you try and create standards.....such as MS/TCPIP...that can cause huge problems. When OSWWW [whatever the new may be], as much as I like Unix, I don't want it to be the driving factor in this world. I want to use what works!!! If a company has dumb users and lots of cash, NT all the way....keep me employed forever. But, when Linux starts to make standards, a global...uneducated [for the most part] group of hackers....something does not fit. Then we have FreeStandard, RedHatStandards, and SuSEStandards.......... plz dont mod me down.....let my voice be heard:)
Event Horizon.....good movie, got bad @ the end. The 'foam ball' example works. The part about 'bending space' gets to me. Sure, enough gravity...you can do anything. Take the foam ball, point A and point B [being exact oppistie side] and squish the ball, everything [people/planets between the two] will be effected. So, at the cost of interstellar travel, we will be squishing everything between. Subspace is the way to travel. Hell, light speed, but...that leads to other stuff. Gimme a few billion [gates?] and I make it work. We should be doing manned space flight to planets by now...nope, just loosing these stuffs out there [mars]. Hasta D~y
I am as smart as everyone else on the planet [3 from star, 1 moon] as I put out a theory and attempt to give my idea. As for the comment from the AC, good. All these 'throies' work, in a sense. Put them to math, it CAN be done. But, that is just math, anything can be 'proven'.
More copies of Linux.....guess if I had billions of dollars and many man hours.....*I* could do this....maybe I *will*....got that spare P166 running NT now.....try something DIFFERENT [I am going to load FreeBSD]

The Oscors.....are a bunch of hype [easy ad space] and only the 'enlightend' films....when I say enlightened....I mean films with budgets and big actors. There have been some terrific "B" movies......an no...."witch project" was not one of them. They script the night away.....and then say hey...if this person wins....THEN we can have this person on after....this would make it cool kindof 'publicity stunts'.......bhaaaa. I forget what they say.....and go see a movie that I like....
If you avoid the contract of using the freaking 'internet dialup'......then...you ARE stealing..... there is NO other way to look at it. I *would* buy the box, 99$ and then buy the service for 3 months (~65$)....then THIS would be legal, but all you people can justify it...it is still stealing.... I had to resist going out and buying this box [would look soo cool next to the jon], I did not buy it...and I put the money in a good place......paintball gun.
Well....religion in school is VERY touchy..i dont want my kids [none yet] to be forced to practice [insert religion]. But like in school, we should learn about each......taught in an objective view, not a bias view [very tough], sticking to the 'facts' and seeing miricales as 'possabilities'. To each his own....but God has saved me by His son. D~y
[regaurding religion posting] Ok, I am not very familiar w/ the guy......but, he sounds decently bright. I am a 'ChristoGeek", Christ belongs in Life [lifestyle/everyday] and not just in polotics/school. I am not a closet Christian....I share my faith, I am a BibleThumper..but I do not speak to those who do not wish to hear. I agree that the whole 'christian' religion has changed, and alot is not 'bible centric'. This needs to change.
