    Who cares??? Braid was terrible!

  2. I wonder... on Oklahoma, Vatican Take Opposite Tacks On Evolution · · Score: 0

What are the odds that these various religions representatives will invite Mr. Dawkins to speak at their events? Not a chance? Well, doesn't that "demonstrate an intolerance for cultural diversity and diversity of thinking"?

  4. Re:What's more disturbing to me... on Time Warner Cable Box Rental Inspired Antitrust Lawsuit · · Score: 0

Excellent point, I always found it odd that even the quite expensive "premium" channels have advertising. If it was just basic cable that advertised I could understand, as the cost is subsidized by ad revenue, but when you're paying top dollar for a particular channel, you want the most content for your money!

  5. Re:More expensive on Wii on Strong Bad Episode 1 Hits the WiiWare Shop · · Score: 1, Insightful

Given that you can't (officially) use a Wiimote on a Windows box, I would hazard a guess that it's probably better on the Wii. Thus the discount for the crappier platform.

In a "point and click" game like this, I doubt the Wiimote will make any difference at all.

Seems kind of odd that it's more expensive on Wii than it is on PC.

  9. Lose-lose situation! on MS To Share Vulnerability Details Ahead of Patches · · Score: 0

Okay, so this seems like a good idea on the surface but after a little thought this seems more and more like a no-win situation. We'll likely see two major scenarios play out: 1) MS will only release this information to those companies it deems "trustworthy"... But considering the way MS has behaved in the past, how much you're trusted will largely depend on how much money you spend on MS products/services. 2) In the unlikely event that MS does decide to "play nice" with security vendors, what's to stop a particularly resourceful group of black-hats from creating a nonexistent company in order to gain inside info into 0-day vulnerabilities? Either way, we're all SOL.

  10. Typical on Statue of Galileo Planned for Vatican · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Typical of the Catholic church to engage in this kind of hypocrisy. Attempt to impede scientific progress that doesn't fit into their religious philosophy, and then after being proven wrong, try to act as if they supported it all along. How stupid do they think the people of the world are? So much for accountability.

What about all the people who put in long hours and hard work EARNING their degree?
I'll admit that Mr. Gates is a successful man, but I'd be willing to bet that he couldn't make it through a degree program the way the rest of us would have to.
