    No, if real didn't take a good product and make it bad with spyware, bloat, and just plain annoying ad's and popups, then this problem wouldn't be happening.

    Instead they decided to add every money making scheme into their software to scam as much money out of people as they can.

    How many people would choose real over wmp? Not many. People have the option of installing real, they have the option of going to real.com and downloading it. Why do they need it when installing a OPERATING SYSTEM.

    I need to sell my software to eat, If I give my software away, how does this help ME, I know how it helps EVERYONE, but I dont think everyone is going to buy my food while I write code for them.

    Can't ICANN just have another orgization handle .com and .net domains, and then let VeriSign run Sitefinder? It wouldn't (would it?) work correctly anymore, unless people used VeriSign domain servers.

    No the people who get away with this the most are the people who work "under the table" or do not pay any taxes at all, go after these people first, as they are the ones who "dont have taxable income" and get free services from the state to boot (medical unemployment welfare).

    Money that is not taxed, and free services paid for by taxes, that they dont pay.

    Yes, after the $8,000 they took out for taxes, your damn right people will try to get as much extra income out of this.

    Your right, the people who get paid $1.25 - $4.25 per hour on average to work, plus get charged 10% of what they sell as they are expected to be getting tipped the minimum.

    So you sell $100.00 in food.
    Get tipped $8.00 total.
    You payout $2.00.
    if your getting $1.25 per hour, wow you just made .50 cents.

    I was playing these games for years, and never once played a game with cheats enabled (if they were I guess I was to good).

    With most FPS online games you can sort your sever list and remove the servers that allow cheats.

    Tribes 2 is the same way.

    Honestly, the only experience I had with WebTV was at my parent's house many years ago.

    For them this was better then any computer. You sign up, you get your email account, you get access to weather, channel listings (they have WebTV with cable) You can program it to switch to specific channels at specific times. No worries for viruses, worms, corrupted file systems or bloated registries.

    For people who just wanted an email address, gamble online, check news, weather, and program their tv/vcr, it was amazing.

    Sure low res, and most of these features are in many products, but at the time it was a great idea.

    Not even touching the subject of how many creatures are killed from the toxins from gasoline, but how many animals are killed each year from the trucks, trains, and tankards that haul the fuel from one location to another.

    I would be willing to be its more then 3 a day.

    The #1 killer of animals when it comes to energy is Nuclear power plants, but not in the way you think.

    When the plant releases water that was used to cool its core, the water is dumped back into the river it was collected from. This water is vary hot, and theirs a lot of it (thousands of gallons a day). The water returned naturally kills off anything that lives in the river because of the extreme changes in the water temperatures. Most sea life can only live in specific temperatures, and only if the changes are gradually raised or lowered. These plants can change the temperature in an entire river (within a few miles of the plant) upwards of 20 degrees within a day.

    I run a few hotspots around Minneapolis. The best practice I have found it allow people to buy chunks of time, allowing them to use this time whenever they are in the hotspot. Allowing people to buy 10 hours for $30.00, and letting them use it over the span of 3 months has worked well for me.

    Sure they can set aside space for the frequency in the spectrum, but how easy would it be to DOS attack a system like this. I'm sure they would have specific security setup, but seriously, how annoying would it be to pass through a section of town and have all your warning lights sounds etc go off from someone saturating the spectrum....

    Doesn't matter, 1 month isn't enough time to switch over a small office over to Linux, let alone an entire governments structure and closed source software.

    They may decide to switch over, but it will be over a few years, and will continue using their existing OS.

    The Spam was sent to computers in VA.
    His Spam passed through systems in VA.
    His business was located in VA.

    The article does not state what he was doing, so until then it's still questionable

    What about the companies that pay for spamming services? Are they just as liable as the people who are sending the Spam? I mean, there wouldn't be (as much) Spam if companies wouldn't be paying for it. And there would be even less if they were fined for using these services.

    I cant think of any software company that would support you within a situation like this. if your expect support like this the closest I could think of is the platinum (200.00 per month) dell support for servers.

    $5.00 per month gets you access to the downloads, anything else is your problem.

    Couldn't a company just download the updates to 1 machine, (aka 1 license) and just create their own auto update system? I would assuume these programs exists. So basiclly a company for $5.00 per month could keep their entire network uptodate.......
