Well, I for one was expecting something exciting from Palm to revive them.... This is just booring and except for the syncing stuff nothing new.
They just created a new line of PDAs, like they have allways done. In a different formfactor yes, but still a PDA.
My Nokia N73 lasts 2-3 days when used to check email, make calls, take a few photos and listen to music.
Its smaller than the Iphone but with a large display. So 1-2 days should not be impossible.
Sounds really expensive, isn't there some way to use the money better or do we really need all that new data?
We could, like sped the money on CO2 reductions or developing green technology.
The dumbest phones properly don't but for example the recent nokia smartphones are pretty widespred where I come from and they should have the power to do it. Heck they can dop videocalling so why not encryption of regular calls.
It would be really nice if that came standard in cellphones (Properly just a empty dream).
But maybe a plugin for windows mobile and symbian handsets could be possible.
Ummm where does this come from? I cant seem to locate any statements to support this and the gmail TOS seem to indicate that the email is deleted permanently. So please backup your statements and don't spred rumors.
Why not just use a combination. I have IMAP on my server so on my desktop I run a desktop email program (Evolution), when I am at another computer I use squirrelmail or SSH to the server and use mutt or when I art near a computer I check email on my smart phone. Thanks to IMAP they are all syncronized at all times.
Unlocking is legal in most of the EU. In denmark where I come from the carries is required by law to unlock their phones for free after 6 months.

I know, but they are a minor player and everybody else supports UTMS.
Why godaddy? Why could people not chose what register to transfer to?

I would love a 3G iPhone. Videocalling and not the dog slow GPRS datatransfers (In denmark where I come from EDGE isn't really used.)
Err, yuo know what /. is?
The answer would be something like, Do your part to reduce CO2 by building a more energy efficient computer!

Use imap on the server and they share all the same folders.

The review does not say it must be aimed by hand. You can chose to aim by hand but if you punch in your zip code it will autoaim.
