It seems more like a correction to me. The idea that a BTC was worth $20 or more seemed too good to be true, probably because it was.
I think BitCoin is a great concept, but it needs more of a real economy and less currency speculation. I suspect that will come once the hype dies down. Maybe now that the value has gone down, that'll happen soon.

Didn't we just read some news about a decision stating that the FCC doesn't have the power to make arbitrary rules about how electronics are to be manufactured, specifically that the broadcast flag can't be required by the FCC? Yet they can mandate that TVs must be able to receive certain types of signals?
You should join DownsizeDC.org in their attempt to pass the "Read the Bills Act of 2005". The Act would make it law for all bills to actually be read by each legislator, which could cut down considerably on unrelated riders. In any event, it has to be a good thing for lawmakers to have read the laws they're voting on!

I use vim as my primary text editor, and I have no trouble keeping my left index finger on the 'f' key while using my left little finger to hit Esc. Leaving my left index finger on the 'f' key makes it quite trivial to get my fingers back into the home position.
Still, Caps Lock as Esc is an interesting idea.

I think it's great that there's someone willing to stand by Open Source and offer this kind of indemnity. This is a Good Thing. More support for FLOSS is more support for FLOSS.
It's already there. Ctrl+Tab cycles through the tabs. Ctrl+PgUp and Ctrl+PgDn walk forwards and backwards through the tabs.

You say that single-pass DES is better than nothing. I disagree. This product could very well provide some suit somewhere with a false sense of security that might cost him dearly.

According to the article, the embedded platform used was actually a Soekris net4521. There's no such board as the net2421.
