    Simple is not always good. In your case the document is more than 200 years old, and does not cover a lot of things that we hold relevant today.
    Besides, most European constitutions are quite simple to understand, though some are lengthy.

    Since when capitalism is about competition? Capitalism is about capital, it's there in the name!
    Competition is a requirement for market economy. Employee is a scarce resource, in this case, therefore it's price is high or rises.

    Capitalism--it's supposed to be about freedom.

    How delusional are you? Freedom has nothing to do with capitalism. See Zimbabawe, pre 2003 Iraq or 1940's Germany - all capitalistic all authocratic regimes.
    So capitalism is about freedom as much as communism.

    Not true. Cheaper hardware, requires cheaper OS. Witch by itself DOES NOT BRING VALUE. I mean, you don't just install clean Windows XP and become happy and productive(Excluding the online services, since you can use them with LiveCD Linux).

    WTF? Are you mad? Stock prices have not much to do with performance... It's more like investor appreciation index or perceived value. And it is purely relative.
    Company performance and stock performance only correlate on long term charts.

    That would probably leave them open to class action lawsuits....

    FYI: For most, average, customers MS Windows is the "computer thingy" that came with their $500 "box". And you are talking about appreciation...
    Businesses are another issue, but that may be changing... And not all businesses really need Windows to run their software...

    Well... Direct democracy does work. But it does not scale and has both upper and lower bounds. Communism, does not scale up, but thrives at a family level. While almost all democracies on this planet are representative democracies, Switzerland is the only country that comes close to a direct democracy.

    Users usually don't care. Really. Everyone forgets that users buy APPLICATIONS, not OS and that infrastructure stuff. If you own the house, you most probably did not base your decision only on the type of metal used to produce the plumbing.

    Well... There are always incompetent and stupid people. Windows admins tend to have more such colleagues, since of the steep learning curve. There are a lot of really smart Windows admins, just as there are a lot of talented engineers at MS.

    Actually without a registered copyright the only thing that is harder, is presenting evidence that you own the copyright. Registration does not grant or revoke any copyright protection.

    Actually transforming source code into binary code is a violation of copyright. Since binary format is a derivative work.
