    Instead of one little captcha at the end of a web form, the whole site will be a captcha.
    All the form labels will be jumbled images, and there will be 9 form submit buttons, 8 with dogs and 1 with a cat.
    All textual content can be a mangled image to stop scrapers as a bonus.

    Oh and please don't actually build this.

    Boycott the Sony record label by all means.
    However, I don't think it's practical in boycott entire mega-corporations since they are really just umbrella legal entities.

    Whilst I wouldn't buy a Sony CD, battery, or anything that uses a proprietary recording format, I would buy another Sony TV because they've been of good build quality, and none have expired before I chose to upgrade myself.

    I would say yes. When I was a teen my mother walked into my room and started moaning about the mess.
    Right then, windows blue screened and later I found the hard drive was completely dead. (Think it was a 15GB Maxtor or thereabouts) That cost me some pocket money to replace at the time.

    If you have women living in the house, factor this into your backup procedure.

    What the hell happened to http authentication anyway? I'm oblivious to the history, but we have basic and digest, both suck so everyone uses cookies instead.
    Why don't we have something more modular where new hashes can be plugged in over time, and maybe negotiate down to md5 for older agents.

    Er yes, "internet addiction".
    Is it also possible that you are a web designer or at least the guy who got lumbered with getting the company site to "work on most browsers".
    Designers worry about browser bugs and quirks, so the end user doesn't have to.
