    Plus there's a handy 'resynthesize' plugin for Gimp that is pretty much this Content-Aware fill. Heal selection is handy.

    and then use the same software in the DOSBox emulator

    and then complain on the DOSBox forum that it doesn't work, among the sea of other overentitled 'IT pros' that demand a gaming emulator to fit critical application usage

    I do believe this was the only game that ever got 3d acceleration on the Virge..

    A special S3D Win32 version of Destruction Derby should also be available with your Stealth 3D 2000 pack-in.

    Terminal Velocity is another that supported S3D.

    Same here, I had an 486 DX4-100 when Descent came out and was playing it smoothly. I saw it really choppy and unplayable on i486dx2 50s and 66s which are way above the 'reminiscenced' specs... it's already running 2 seconds per frame on the start of level 1 at that point anyway.

    That's ironic, because in the 1.x days, the full Seamonkey suite felt less bloated than even Firefox 3.x and hogged far less memory and crashed less.

    Seamonkey exists, has always been the last designbycommittee-bullshit-free Gecko-based browser for over a decade, but it always feels so unloved.

    If you wanted a native linux Doom with OPL midi without DOSBox, you could use Chocolate Doom... It's designed to be cruft-less.
