is there a way to be sure you're getting ones made by a reputable firm?
The TCO/EROEI on Solar is so marginal to begin with, nobody wants to risk a multi-thousand-dollar implementation if there's a high likelihood they'll lose out.
Today, I went to the EMC/VMware event in Baltimore. me, twentysome 50-60 year old C-levels, no technical information that could be gleaned, but a bunch of salivating million dollar budgets.
I asked the engineer-presenter about his replication's bandwidth demands, he was not prepared to answer... the C-level guys asked questions like "what color is the box it comes in?"
want to sound like a CIO? forget everything you know about object oriented programming, IPv6, and OSPF and Linux,, and mimic a sales-evangelist from EMC.
While I am neither For or Against nuclear power, I would think that the cost of regulation and maintenance should be figured into EROEI numbers. Someone was giving me their insights on how prices of Exxon Mobil were going to drop because of the discovery of a big shale field and i had to explain eroei to them and how natural gas is nice but it will not replace oil.
I mean the next response would sensibly describe events surrounding the deepwater disaster in the Gulf and for that, I would have to say their numbers should be figured as well.
I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest you cut class every time the history teachers talked about genocide, propaganda, hitler or other dictators who engaged in information wars prior to land wars.
Google is uncle sam's 1984 big brother. It needs Google to continue to harvest our search criteria, our behavior online, and anything with our names or screennames tied to it. Uncle Sam wants Google to keep it's mouth shut about this too so it is avoiding too much stepping on their toes.
how are so many aged men with fur-coats growing out of their ears so hard of hearing?
(this replaces my bad joke based solely on the headline which was "are you sure you didn't just turn the mice into middle-aged-men?")
