The TCO/EROEI on Solar is so marginal to begin with, nobody wants to risk a multi-thousand-dollar implementation if there's a high likelihood they'll lose out.

I asked the engineer-presenter about his replication's bandwidth demands, he was not prepared to answer... the C-level guys asked questions like "what color is the box it comes in?"
want to sound like a CIO? forget everything you know about object oriented programming, IPv6, and OSPF and Linux,, and mimic a sales-evangelist from EMC.
While I am neither For or Against nuclear power, I would think that the cost of regulation and maintenance should be figured into EROEI numbers. Someone was giving me their insights on how prices of Exxon Mobil were going to drop because of the discovery of a big shale field and i had to explain eroei to them and how natural gas is nice but it will not replace oil.
I mean the next response would sensibly describe events surrounding the deepwater disaster in the Gulf and for that, I would have to say their numbers should be figured as well.
I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest you cut class every time the history teachers talked about genocide, propaganda, hitler or other dictators who engaged in information wars prior to land wars.
