I like making games, too. But there's no way in hell I'd work in a game company. Working 80+ hour weeks while always being just around the corner from being fired is not worth it. Unless you can hook up with a great indie studio, pretty much all the other choices are crap.
But, hey, if you enjoy being shit on go right on ahead.:)
"Sucker born every minute" is a perfect description of the long line of people who think they want to be game programmers. Unless you're a Carmack, there's no really no point unless you're in to being shit upon.
It's laughable that they criticize Apple for not building in backdoors, when they are so obviously incapable of keeping any info from those backdoors a secret. China is outclassing them in every way and it's time we get a President like Trump who's at least capable of knowing there's a problem, unlike the "mainstream" crooks and liars.
So you're against people criticizing Apple for not building backdoors into their software but then you claim we need Trump as the president who has said he's going to force Apple to build in backdoors? Excellent troll is excellent!
Execpt that judges, prosecutors and even jury members have been murdered on numerous occasions for their involvement in the justice system. So again, only useful in a theoretical world.
That's the same thing as saying "after this crime, no other crimes should ever be committed".
Maybe in the world of strawmen.
It's a childish view of the world, and it's just as disingenuous as saying that if you unlock this phone then the box of pandora is opened.
Except it will open a pandora's box. Once the US government succeeds in forcing Apple to do this to fight "the bad guys", countries like China will force Apple to do the same simply to extend their surveillance state. So it's no "childish view" of the world to actually realize that all these claims of "it's just about one phone!" and "it won't create precedent!" are simply lies.
It's always been open - as long as people are going to commit heinous crimes, there will be a need for investigation.
If it's always been open there would be no point to this case as law enforcement would already have a backdoor. There would be zero point to them filing suit against Apple.

There are plenty of open source 3D engines. What makes this one different on a technical level?
It runs Serious Sam and those others engine don't?

Want a job in the gaming industry?
To get paid shit and treated like shit? Yeah, sign me up!!
It's a Windows game. What did you expect?
Serious Sam does have loads of bad guys and multiplayer.
Not to mention the passing of the rules was based on numerous consumer complaints.
Why is my post funny? What's funny about disproving the GP's claim that McAfee sided with the FBI?
He makes me uncomfortable by holding the same position that I do? Yeah, sure, guy.
I didn't say there was anything wron with what he said. I was disproving the GP's claim that McAfee was siding with the FBI.

FYI, Bob Iger is the one who wrote the email and runs Disney. Has done so for going on 11 years now.
He may not have explicitly sided with Apple, but his remarks in this article were clearly not on the side of the FBI.
My counterpoint to what?
Execpt that judges, prosecutors and even jury members have been murdered on numerous occasions for their involvement in the justice system. So again, only useful in a theoretical world.
He did no such thing. That article you wrongully remember was him blasting the US government and comparing them to the Nazis.
You give Slashdot for too much credence.
So basically only effective in a theoretical world.
Both groups do not have to be mutually exclusive. Never seen Venn Diagrams before where two groups have overlaps between each other?
The benefit is less shitty sites like Buzzfeed. Good riddance.

All Writs Act.
Because it's a security mechanism built into the OS. The unlock process requires identifiers unique to the hardware.
When was it ever? Are you ignorant of US history?
No, they can't.
