    the GPL makes allowances for things like plugins, extensions, addons, etc and since flame is clearly module based (as discovered by virus researchers) only the one module with the lzo stuff would have to be released under GPL.

    This is not a piece of code that you put on your site and they flip the switch for you whenever they feel like it (although that is an option too if you really don't care). They basically send you an email about the current threat and YOU flip the switch if you want to participate. The code is just so that everybody's banners look the same.

    there are plenty of reasons it could have been marked as spam!

    Look at how many big names he used - Techcrunch, Pando Daily, Twitter, Google+, Facebook, Hacker News, Techmeme, Quora, Pando Daily(again), All Things Digital, The Verge

    And then on top of that there are several words that collectively could add up to it being marked as spam - media, business, social media, capital, ecosystems - these are not words that most people use more then one of in a casual conversation on facebook

    Who stares at a math question for 20 seconds before answering?! I remember doing time trials in fifth grade and answering hundreds of questions in just one minute. Or is this some sort of psychic ability discovery? Either way, I fail to see the real-world application for this

    I think that was what they intended to say. They are implying that it is midly significant without going so far as to say it is significant. It is awkwardly written but it is by no means ungrammatical.

    If I have to watch an ad before I can view my video I am not going to watch the video. Lose the pre-video ads and don't interupt while it is playing either. You can surround the video with ads for all I care, just don't mess with the video part itself. Also you should really switch to HTML5 video considering this is a site for nerds, by nerds. My samsung galaxy ace (android) does not have flash and I wish I didn't need it on my PC either. Flash should be used only as a fallback for browsers that do not support HTML5 video, NOT the other way around
