Slashdot uncertainty principle: If you know the speed with which he programmed the drivers, it's impossible to know just how many he wrote. Or something like that.. I'm sure I learned this in physics.

GPS and ARPANET never would have gotten there without the government. Every now and then they do get things right.

I can't wait until I can listen to my music from within the safety of my iBunker.

It's a 2D FPS which I'm terrible at and quit in frustration a while ago. It's a neat idea though, it's like if someone crossed Counter-strike with Worms. It's pretty fast paced with low gravity but with realistic-style weapons.
(I just realized that 2D FPS is kind of an oxymoron, but just go with it)

I can't speak for him, but it's a pain in the ass using two OSes at once instead of keeping everything in one. Convenience matters.

You're exactly right on that. Macbooks are a little too slick for me (I personally like how professional most of the Thinkpads look) but they're both miles ahead of the cheap plastic I've seen on Dells. With the amount of money a laptop costs and the amount of time you're going to be spending using it, it's definitely worth spending that little bit extra for a nice-looking machine that you can take some pride in.

MS Office is an institution at any corporation or school I've ever been to. Even the smallest change or tweak is going to piss off SOMEONE, and a massive visual overhaul is obviously going to create problems, especially for older or computer illiterate people who've had to struggle to learn how to use the program in the first place. Not everyone can adapt to change as easily as the Slashdot (nerd) crowd.
That said, I don't like the idea of having to turn to third-party software for this. Maybe I just don't understand why MS couldn't sacrifice a little more bloat and let you choose between the different styles.

I'm impressed by the effort that went into this troll.

Personally I'd be a lot more excited if it was about DDR Ram
