You shouldn't believe what you see in ads. The proper pour allows for a pinky finger's width of head...so unless you've got some big-ass gorilla pinky fingers...
Some beers like a big head, wheat beers and some pilsners.
I use google a lot too, but that can take a lot more time to track down a specific topic.
I've just never like the traditional bookmarking system...works fine for a small amount of sites, but falls apart pretty quickly when trying to catalog lots of sites.
I find normal bookmarks to be a major pain in the ass, especially when you end up with lots of them. In which case I find delicious or simpy to be much quicker.
Not to mention the hours lost in trying to keep bookmarks organized...
I had played for close to 3 years, since it was released. I was pretty addicted to it though I did force myself to take fairly regular breaks.
When I decided to end it I hung out in the noob zones for a while buffing/transporting people (everyone loves a druid!), and giving stuff away. I found it most cathartic.;)
I briefly used Google Desktop because everyone raved about its amazing versatility. I also wanted a desktop search similar to Spotlight. When Google Desktop started bookmarking sites for me and linking to things I didn't ask for, I stopped using it almost immediately. I'm not interested in having a computer moderate my life for me.
It's very easy to turn off the sidebar and just use the search feature in deskbar mode. I have no use for the sidebar, but the search is great. If you like the sidebar it's very easy to disable the features you dislike.
I use OSX and Windows in my work - I'm a Prepress Geek/Typesetter/Designer.
It would be freakin brilliant to have a machine that can dual-boot - or better yet, run the two OSs concurrently. Or even a native VM for that matter.
Most of the software I use is available for both platforms (Adobe Suite, etc) but there are a few apps that aren't (most notably CorelDRAW - the latest versions, anyway).
Hate to break it to you, but if you had actually RTFA you linked to you would see that Jobs hasn't agreed to anything.
That one-price-fits-all structure may be on the way out, though. Today EMI Group boss Alain Levy said at press conference today that he believed Jobs would introduce multiple price points for iTunes music within the next year. Apple officials were unavailable for comment. If Levy is correct, the new pricing scheme would mark a turnaround for Jobs, who has argued that a buck a song was an easy to understand proposition for consumers and a victory for the music business, which has been calling for the move for the past several months.

In this case, Guinness does. They go around training people on how to pour a proper pint.

Beer goes flat quicker if its poured into a glass (the glass is usually at room temperature, and the pouring makes it lose some of the carbonation).
Hmm...beer doesn't usually last long enough around me to lose carbonation. You must be a slow drinker!
I don't know where you're from, but most beers are supposed to be poured into glasses for full enjoyment.
Another CAMRA member, from Canada tho. :)
That would depend on the beer...serve me a Guinness with that much head and I'll be sending you back to the bar to fill it properly.
It would seem that sci-fi will never be anything other than what it is: a fiction.

Uh, ya...and who the fuck are you?
With online tools like del.icio.us or simpy or probably a dozen others around?
I hate mice - I use a tablet now a lot of the time and find it much more comfortable.
You must be using a different gmail than me...it's plenty quick on any system I've accessed it from.
I did a similar thing upon leaving Everquest.

That picture of Ballmer in the article looks similar to Dick Cheney.
I haven't read A Perfect Vacuum, but my favourites are The Futurological Congress and Memoirs Found in a Bathtub.

I guess you're not a fan of tabbed browsing either?
I taking it you didn't try to right-click and select "merge down" in Photoshop?
But give Steve Jobs a few million and he's suddenly all sweetness and light?
You miss-spelled billion.
Sorry, couldn't resist...

Why is it that important to know if someone is in front of their computer right at that instant?
I must be one of the few people around who freakin hates IM. I consider it an invasion of my space.
This is getting as bad as people with their Crackberries that have to check their email every 5 minutes.
Want to ask me if I want to go to a movie? Use the phone!

Digg does have user moderation of posts. Nobody seems to use it much though.
Set the sidebar to auto-hide and then it only takes a couple of pixels at the edge of the screen.
