I just switched from Amarok 2 to Songbird, I tried it many times, but not until 1.4.3 did I find it stable and usable and have all the bugs kinked out that made it me want to switch to use it across me windows, linux and osx machines, only to discover that the next day the dropped linux support. My fav. player to date has been Foobar2000 but thats windows only any cross platform music players anyone would like to suggest. I know amarok is working on a osx and windows version.....
pulseaudio?? I installed it before it was the default sound daemon in ubuntu and have had very minor issues, the only issues experienced were with flash, which was quickly resolved and networked audio over wifi, which seemed stutter but over Ethernet sound was perfect.
Sorry I thought OOXML in its current form is licensed under MS OSP, any further revisions to OOXML can be licensed under another license. So basically when microsoft uses OOXML to smash the competition, we can expect a closed format.
Steve and Apple can claim they are not like MS, they give their users freedom and choice. Here is your freedom and choice right here, two companies who can have the browser market and guess what closed standards and good luck to anyone who does not run MS or Apples Browser OS. I know everyone likes to villify MS for obvious reasons, but Apple will do the same if the shoes were reversed.
ok first off no, there is no 64bit plugin for windows either. All it is a 32bit browser with 32bit plugin. Again I posted a link to the adobe knowledge base which clearly states there are no 64 bit versions of the plugin for any OS. Also firefox is only available from what I can tell only as a 32bit binary from the mozilla site.
In linux you have two options, either run the plugin through ndiswrapper, or you run a 32bit binary of firefox and the plugin as normal. You can find out how to on any linux distros wiki, such as the ubuntu wiki.
I completely agree with you, not so long ago about a year ago, I helped organize LAN parties for with fellow engineers. We played CS:S and a fellow engineer was working on a map of the engineering building (now I could see the school admin, going wild thanks to the VT incident). Most of us who went to the LAN parties, were all mostly comprised of engineers and CS students who basically lived, breathed and spent countless nights in the engineering building, how cool would of it been to play some CS:S with a map we should all be too familiar with, it seems that might get you labeled as a terrorist. Its a shame that people are so paranoid now.....
I really hope this kids life isn't ruined because of some innocent fun.

Just tried to use the demo, got an invalid username and password, so far it more secure then the actual OS....

Does this work in linux??
I would still love a native linux version......
hahahhahaha....... so true.
Actually Microsoft recently purchased the state of New York......the the state later BSOD after suing Dell.....
lets hope george isn't writing the scripts, but some how I do not see that happening.
you know what this means right guys, now linux and bsd users will be infringing on another MS patent.

what? also flash last I checked is not available on for firefox running linux with the x86_64 architecture. http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.c fm?id=6b3af6c9 Straight from Adobe saying no 64 bit browser support
