If Radiohead wants to only sell their music only in an album format, why not sell the whole album as a single mp3/aac?

Not to lose sight of the point at hand (and forgive me if this was already covered), but if the guy is going to go to all the trouble and expense of digitizing his house, why wouldn't he spend a few extra bucks to make it look good?
Those exposed cables and motor for the curtains? The bare electronics on the door mechanism? The above-ground water line of the sprinkler system with the timer seemingly anchored to nothing? It all looks like crap.
It might be handy, but I'd be embarrassed to show it off.
