    You're assuming migration happened at all. If one person is born in a town one person shy of being called urban suddenly makes everyone there urban. So one birth or one person moving could result in a shift of 2501 fewer rural people and 2501 more urbanites. That's a difference of 5002 almost instantly.

    They should base votes on land ownership like they used to. Makes sense to me that the more of the country you own the greater your interest in the country's success.

    That sounds especially useful in the case where a roving gang has smashed in your tail lights and is currently surrounding you. Mercedes knows you shouldn't just avoid conflict, but you should talk your problems out and be sure you are calm and clear-headed before you get on the road.

    If Mad Max had driven a Mercedes, the post-apocalyptic future of Australia would have been a much happier place.

    The problem is they stuck in the eighties. Back then The music industry caused suck a stink over "pirate" radio stations that the feds would just round up any unlicensed broadcasters and toss them in the clink.
    That was successful and in the music industry's mind all these internet radio stations are just a new version of pirate radio.
    The only flaw in their thinking is that while before they were hijacking the airwaves and breaking the FCC's laws, Now they are not breaking any laws and aren't hijacking anything.
    They are so stuck in the mentality that anything they haven't sanctioned is illegal that this internet stuff MUST be against the law.

    Microsoft is always looking out for the little guy and wants to see opensource flourish.

    NEWSFLASH
    MS funded study of cancer deaths and GPL3 found that all one people studied using trying to distribute with GPL3 died of cancer.
    The first amendment on the developers bill of rights is that developers should not be forced get cancer.
    Just to be safe, amendment two states open source shall be banned for it's ties to cancer.

    We prefer the term "undocumented workers" to slaves.

    Volunteers are the open source version of labor. If you decide to let some guy off the street extract your rupturing appendix, there's a slim chance they might actually be qualified to do that at their day job. Of course sometimes guys on the street will tell you they are "just as good as a doctor" but most of them are just trying to infect you with viruses.

    On the one hand, computers are full of heavy metals and chlorine. On the other hand, Humans are 65% water, which is apparently the most greenhousy of the greenhouse gases.

    I'm so happy a group of enthusiasts has come together to make sure everyone thinking of making programs will put form before function. One time I was thinking about putting five buttons on a mouse, but then the Human Interface Guideline Coalition shut me down and informed me that humans sometimes have all of their fingers on one hand mashed into a pulp with a hammer and burnt with cigarettes so they can only effectively use one button. I can tell you I never made THAT mistake again!
