In New Zealond, a bunch of fans are claiming "Jedi" as their religion on the census! If enough people do it, it must be declared as a viable religion... Food for thought, young Jedi.
Is Ximian too distracted these days, with all these changes going on? Name change, CEO change, etc.
It's been ages since they've released their latest warez, yet very few of them are actually available! Solaris packages haven't been updated in AGES and still have old GNOME, etc.
Considering how much they're in the spotlight, along with GNOME - through Sun and HP... You'd think they'd be a little more diligent.
Don't drop the ball on this, Ximian - this is MAJOR!
How does one enable GTK look-and-feel with Mozilla and/or Netscape 6? I had it working and then upgraded to v6.0.1 and deleted my old ~./mozilla directory... D'ohhh!
Is when they plan on releasing binaries for the platforms that have vowed to include GNOME in the next release of their OSes - namely Sun Solaris and HP HP/UX...
So far, only Redhat and Debian have releases available to them.
This is a very visible time for both Eazel and GNOME, and they need to get on the ball. Especially since these new platforms can do a lot of good to those projects.
Check out Resonate's Global Dispatch which is a WAN-based traffic management that provides consistent, reliable availability and performance across multiple sites and geographies.
Written in Perl to work with Apache and mod_perl for high-speed, it's an image-based polling/voting system with a nice GUI and a bunch of good features.
Stop the insanity!
I think the plummeting economy has got people all riled up with nothing better to do than to come up with, and sue over - stupid shit like this.

I compiled it last night on Solaris 7, and it was a nice, clean build. Good work, guys!

Dumbasses.
It's certainly more important than a software announcement. That's what Freshmeat is for.
You might want to try here, or use a mirror.
Submitted, last night. Rejected.
Not to mention this tasty morsel, which was also rejected. Worried that Andover.net is next?
Fascist Slapdork bastards.
There are a lot of issues that need to be addressed like instability, inability to compile on various platforms, bloat and other things.
Be careful before you rush in to embrace it.

Hang a disco ball over your cube and just beam the ring into it... Have everyone in your office yelling in no time! :)
With a 24" beasty on your desk, trust me - you'll be moving yer head all over the place!
I sneezed and deleted my C:\WINDOWS directory!
Now, assuming a $39.95/month fee, and not including the cost of the modem... It comes to about $.17 for a three hour download.
Tell you what. I'll give you $14, and we'll call it even. ;>
Oh, sorry - I thought it said "foot IN mouth."
Oh my!
"Die Bundeswehr sagt das Microsoft Software verboten ist." ;>
The URL to Global Dispatch would be nice... ;>

Microsoft can't have it, and I ain't sharing. :)

I should have the Velocigen vs. mod_perl tests soon enough, which I'm kind of anxious to see. I predict a similar stomping.
Granted, neither of these are free products, but then again - speed always comes at a price, unless you're talking about hookers. ;>
If you're into Perl, check out Velocigen - it's like mod_perl, but a much, much better/faster design. Depends on if you want a free solution, or a commercial one and how fast you want to go. Everything Solaris will be doing a "shoot out" between Apache w/mod_perl and Zeus w/Velocigen, among others like iPlanet and Roxen shortly.
