I stand corrected.. I haven't played Morrowind in a few years and vaguely remembered that daggerfall was the same as oblivion leveling and just lumped Morrowind in with it.
Not that it really matters, as happened with Doom 3, I will be stopping buying thir games.
Unless they redesign the game (look at diablo 3 ffs) then looks like I will be £30 better off.

Doom 3, I was really looking forward to (again on the back of the originals) what I bought was a glorified Flashlight simulator, had they just put the light on the end of the guns...
Change is good when it is worthwhile and there is a clear benefit, change for the sake of change is not good. In fact "If it ain't broke don't fix it".
rose-tinted nostalgia: Can't really call it that considering I still play FO & FO2 so it ain't like I am remembering something to be better than it was.
The FPS imho does ruin the game. Why? because instead of a true RPG it becomes just another fps with a few more character configurations. The voice acting is terrible & to top it off the whole UI is so obviously aimed at the console market as to make it the most fucking disgusing thing ever with its big retard buttons and press A or B.
No FO3 was just "Oblivion with Guns" dumbed down for console users.
Personally I feel the elder scrolls went downhill after daggerfall.
Just because a game is "successful" doesn't mean it is good. It just means the marketing department did a good job building hype. I think the main reason it was so successful was that by making it FPS it opened it up to a larger market as well as being able to play on the Fallout brand thereby catching the older players thinking finally FO3 the game we have been waiting for. I was very dubious about it when I heard who was developing it, but I bought it on the back of 1 & 2 as they had been so good.
To me the major downfall of Morrowind/Oblivion was they stuck with the enemies level with the player. They really needed to use WoW's method of some areas are just too damn dangerous to go as a low lvl.
Yes that is true.. But then the converse is also true.
You get your mac reduced from 1200 to 900, I get my Generic reduced from 900 to 600.
imho MS are right you are paying for a name.. But then if you buy Ben Shermin jeans over xxx jeans then again you are paying for a Brand Name, and depending on who you are comparing against the non-brand name may or may not have better/similar build quality..
I spent £400 on my Shoei helmet, I know part of that price is the brand but I also know their helmets are quality. My previous HJC was £40 so I really wasn't paying for the name there, the quality I still haven't discovered (not that I am complaining).
Me personally, I ain't prepared to pay for a MAC. I'm a cheapskate that goes for the best bang for buck.
But data rention of emails, websites visted, phone calls. Couple that with biometric id (read national DB of ALL UK citizens).
It's one bill at a time. Slowly increasing state powers until the point that all those harmless for our own good bills add up to one big we own you..
Hell I have never bought into newpaper FUD or any of the normal paranoid ravings.. But even the sceptic I am has to admit its hard to deny all these small powers are adding up.
Remember you used to get good discounts buying things for cash? but now you can't make large purchases with cash without the government knowing, but that's to stop money laundering...
Now the communications acts to "stop terrorists".
How many bills etc removing rights to privacy have been brought in recently to "prevent crime and terrorism".. We are nolonger innocent until proven guilty. We are now Guilty until proven Innocent.
Hail Brown!!!!
er.. How about after Tony finished his term as PM, I am fairly sure that we were promised a general election by brown on several occasions, and it was then cancelled/moved/delayed call it what you will.
Generally when you elect a party to government in the general elections you know *who* in that party will be the PM until the next general election. I am still waiting for the elections to run again. Would be nice after all we haven't had them in quite a while, but then again there may be some terrorist crysis or maybe golbal warming to delay them yet again..
How has noone realised this.. There is no democracy in the UK.. It is a Dictatorship anyone that doesn't believe me I have 1 question for you: "Do you remember voting for Gordon Brown to be PM?"
On the plus side I have a server in the USA, so it's time for me to setup a VPN connection to it and use it as a proxy.

the only differences between vim and gvim is in vim you have to have opened a terminal 1st and gvim has a pretty box around it instead of being in a terminal.. The "graphical" part only prevents you from having to open a terminal 1st (and one or 2 other tiny things due to its menu bar).
I would have compared it to one of the DOS editors but i have spent the latter years trying to forget they existed at all. Now you have reminded me of them it's back to square 1, 11years work down the drain.
In fact, most of them are won by simply grabbing the biggest gun and shooting baddies who pop out of the woodwork.
And just being able to add a few perks and a few skills makes FO3 different from those FPS in a big way?

Hopefull the next one will be isometric & be van Buren updated with nicer gfx
Because a black screen with green characters is sooooo last century...
You mean EMACS wouldn't be better? LIES!!!!
Is that before or after you throw a blanket over your subnet? We all know those subnets can get cold.
I swear if I lived in Sweden I'd take out the most expensive internet plan that ISP had.
Bravo to them, glad to see someone with a backbone in this day and age.
Like the Ferrari, it's nothing more than a dick extension. It's showing off. I'd rather spend half the money and get more power and more capacity.
Fixed that for ya ;)
Microsoft's consumer OS has gotten progressively worse since XP (ME and VISTA).
ME was before XP & 2000.. ;)
I'm still convinced that ME was a clever ploy to get people to buy 2 OSes in 6-9 months

Careful that sounds like commie talk.. Uncle SAM will get you for that.. :P
OMG they are admitting to it..
/. worth why?
quick stop press, a company has received a bug report, admitted a bug in their software exists & released fix....
And this was
That won't encourage piracy....
I would also point out that taxing doesn't reduce the amount of violence in the game..
Sounds as effective as the Green tax tbph..
OMG I just got that
*Leaves room*
Actually, no it's discovered clearasol.
Thankyou, I'll be here all week!
Are you sure?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clearasil , http://www.clearasil.com/
I too will be here all week.
Is this caused by global warming?
Should we implement a green tax in order to help the sun get its spots back?
On the other hand maybe the sun has discoved clearasil..
In Germany, they came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist;
And then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist;
And then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew;
By the time they came for me, there was no one left to speak up.

I think this sums it up nicely..
You laugh now..

Consoles are just PCs that can't be upgraded and run on a random architecture. :D
