You can be detained for a very short period of time without being charged. For instance, they can detain you for questioning as a witness or to analyze you as a possible suspect.
You probably don't understand it because math courses in school focus on the tools instead of on the thought processes. It is better to be faced with a problem you cannot solve unless you have a certain math tool. In that case it makes a hell of a lot more sense when you are trying to learn the tool. The math subjects in school are just collections of tools. You would think that people who are "experts" at teaching others could come up with better ways to teach math than just working problems over and over again and testing you on the mechanics of the process of using the tool. Sure they ge to the end of the chapter or section AND then dive into the application. I always have an easier time learning a tool when I'm faced with the problem it is meant to solve and I have already spent time trying to solve the problem on my own. For instance, trying to learn SPRING without being faced with the problem it solves makes the framework seem really complicated and difficult to grasp. Bounce up against the problems over and over and then it suddenly fits the way you are thinking.
I used to work in a restaurant where I was a lead cook. I washed my hands at least three times per hour--often many more (after touching fish, etc..). We had a hand sink at each end of the cook's line though and it was kept fully stocked with soap and towels by our minions and all I had to do was shout to get it quickly restocked if someone let it go--this was held as a priority. If the sinks were not stocked or were not present in very convenient ares then I would not have washed my hands near as much.
So instead of fluffy (my cat) lounging in the house 18 hours a day with a ready supply of food and water available it is better to kill her than to prolong the agony of the hedonistic lifestyle she must now endure?
Why don't we break this down? Does anyone NEED Google Glass? People needed the iPhone in order to better communicate and have access to information and control their environment. What will GG bring us? What need does it fill? Good luck making this "cool."
I think it involves the net backlash forming over all social media. I get the sense that social media is leaving a bad taste in peoples' mouths (professionals, or career minded at least) and they are starting to pull back--Google Glass is another aspect of this or is at least viewed as such. An invasion, one too many.
Dude, Verizon doesn't give two rat farts about "word of mouth." Have you ever been a customer of Verizon? Do you understand their customer base? 200 million fucking subscribers!!!!! The only reason they don't ask for our firstborn or cuss us out over the phone is because the government grants the licenses, without which they cannot do business.
This happened to me with AOL. They started charging for a streaming music service all of the sudden after offering it for free (2001). I got a freaking bill for $120. Had to reverse charges and ultimately have a new card issued.
I'm going to put that in my cover letters, or perhaps at the top of my resume. "High functioning autistic looking to make an impact in a team environment."
Indeed, I started watching TNG after watching 200 episodes (in a row) of Star Gate SG1 for the first time, and TNG seemed very slow in comparison. I still love TNG but Star Gate is by far the best SciFi of our time (that and Battle Star Galactica).
How is "English Philology" not geeky. That is awesome. I wish I had a philologist lying around the house.
I knew this guy who would bail when they started getting mouthy. I like the concept, but he didn't keep girlfriends very long.

Alcohol doesn't remove all the crap underneath and around fingernails.

I must say, she isn't the only one now.

Even if it is the truth you must still prove it is the truth.
You aren't supposed to beat th eguy up
What kind of world do we live in when you're not supposed to beat the shit out of some perv peeping in your daughter's window?

YEAST! should have rights! It is alive and deserves to be treated with respect and dignity!
This has seriously gone too far....seriously.
The message I get from this is that Microsoft stole his name. ?? Anyone? Maybe I'm just a little looney after all this coffee.

Snarky my ass! Have YOU tried running a Ubuntu 64bit distro? What a joke.
LMAO!! For some reason I just pictured RMS getting reamed by Ron Jeremy in a penguin suit.
What I do find odd is that he moves into computer software from being a drug smuggler.
I always picture the slap-fight scene in Nacho Libre. Forever damaged.

Agreed, I blame YouTube for this. They are treading on shaky ground by enabling this practice.
I wish my wife would get this disease.
