    Could you not get away with some kind of "agreement was signed under duress" argument?
    The duress being of course your inability to afford the lawyers fees to fight in court.

    I mean since they really are depending on those huge legal costs to make you want to just settle and get it out of the way it could be a form of duress.

    The reason for online connectivity while in SP is DRM. Not features. Why try to stop someone from cheating in SP? Who gives a fuck.
    Pound hard on cheaters that are online in MP. But the always connected need for SP play is simply a removal of features in order to make it harder for copyright infringers.

    Of course those people will be able to work around this.

    Only the people who pay for the game will be punished.

    The Republicans are just the opposite side of the same "Government Power" coin.
    Republicans and Democrats do not differ in how much power they want the government to have. Only on who should benefit the most.
    Big Businesses and Super Rich or Labor Unions and Lawyers.

    Personally I do not trust either for shit.
    People have to stand up and take responsibility for their own lives first and then remove themselves from the government teat.
    Once we no longer need the government to provide for our finances we can take away their power over us.

    Atlas is shrugging, all right, but it's not the wealthy that are shrugging, it's the poor, who as they get more desperate are going to start reacting with force.

    The poor? Those guys with government housing, free health care, food stamps, welfare, WIC and government cheese?

    We need a full replacement of government officials. We need the destruction of public employee unions, We need to get rid of Corporate personhood, get rid of the corporation, Ever large company should be head by a human being that is held responsible for what that company does. We need to remove government backed monopolies and stop the government program to destroy the inner city families through the gifting of cash.

    If the US took another $4 trillion over the next 10 years out of the budgets we would still be screwed.

    It may be far safer for Google to require people to use their real names just to ensure that everyone using the system understands that they are not anonymous, and to encourage people who need anonymity to avoid using Google+ and related services.

    Exactly. People think just because they aren't using their real names they are anonymous.
    For the for most part this is just not true. To be anonymous you need to work at it. Allowing people to think they are anonymous when in fact they are not is more dangerous by far to the non technical person than requiring real names to be used on accounts.

    I do not believe I am talking about specialized knowledge.
    See you think because you are asking simple medical questions it does not count. It does.
    I know the important need to know stuff about my body because I need to know. Not because I am a doctor.

    If you need to use a computer for more than a game once in a while it behooves you to know a little about the basics.
    I know and have taught my daughter how to check and add coolant, oil, transmission, brake and power steering fluid.
    We both can check air pressure on tires. I know something about fuses and about where most of them are in my car.
    If I go to start my car and hear nothing I know to start by making sure my car is in park, then I can move on to is my battery Connected? Charged?
    I can do that type of light troubleshooting.
    BECAUSE I NEED TO.

    Computers are a huge part of life now. If you use them regularly and feel lost when it does not work ...
    You should ....
    Be able to know if it boots or not,
    Check if it is an application or the OS failing to start,
    Know the difference between a program on you computer and a web page,
    Know that your DVD drive is not in fact a cup holder,
    Be able to hit key combinations when told on the phone, (10 min of explanation on how to type Cntrl-Alt-Delete not acceptable)
    Be able find quickly, Close, Minimize, File, Edit, Start Button, Run, Restart.
    Know what you have installed.
    Know what your OS is.

    Simple shit.

    Multi-signon does not work if you have a @somethingnotgmail.com address hosted by gmail.

    It does, sort of.
    I administer a google apps someone@ourcompany.com account. I use my work account plus the admin account.
    I also have a personal gmail account.
    I can easily switch between accounts in a single browser.
    Not so easy is making google see my personal account when logging into google+.
    When both are logged in it almost always wants to use my @companyname.com account instead of my personal.
    So I use separate browsers in Mint and it seems to work much better.

    Would you put up with that attitude from your physician? How would you feel if you read an email between your doctor and their colleagues about how you're obviously inferior because you don't really understand how your own body works?

    But we do. We understand that 23 Twinkies a day is bad.
    We do not drink drain cleaner because it came with some neat stickers that we really wanted.
    We understand about basic nutrition and exercise.

    They can not distinguish between the internet and a program.
    They can not read before clicking "Ok".
    They do not want to know or try anything.

    They lock up the "Tools" of their profession so that we can not try to fix ourselves.

    We should take the internet from the stupid for the same reasons.

    They love the "R" word.
    It usually makes people run away in fear.
    For years now just using the word was enough to win in most cases.
    It has worked so well for so long in fact that now people pull it out when there is absolutely no way to defend its use.
    GP is Wrongheaded, and when in large groups loud and violent whilst preaching peace.
    GP is generally a bad person who blames corporations, uncaring government, rich people and all religions for the problems of all the poor and stupid in the world.
    Never once looking at himself in any way other than to pat himself on the back for being one of the first people he knew to buy an Insight and he felt really good about himself when he got the Prius.
    Hopes soon to get an all electric vehicle he can plug into the wall using no evil oil whatsoever.
