If a printer won't work with win7, which is hard to believe, then throw it away. Win7 supports USB so I'm not sure why the medical app won't work, USB is a standard. If it doesn't, it was written by a bad developer, there's a lot of that too. Swearing loyalists is a generalization and does't hold much water. I get paid money too, what's your point?

Actually with Win8 you'll be able to revive old hardware, it's pretty snappy on old junk.

SL wasn't stupid, it works great for RIA that are a breeze to update & deploy. I developed GPS Tracking software for a new golf cart gps unit and doing that project in HTML/js would have been a nightmare. So, SL has it's place, I'm dissapointed to see it go.
No, I'm sure the per GB is more expensive but I checked my history and only came close to using 2GB once. I switched my wife to a smartphone too so we now share 4 GB of which she won't use any probably. I actually like the unlimited text/talk, I only had 250 txt before and went over from time to time.
Holy cow, do you live in a shack in the woods? The demand for.net developers where I live is crazy, so someone cares about MS products and thankfully it's someone that also pays good $$.

My plan got a little cheaper when I switched to shared.
Gmail works offline. With a connection it works great too are you on dial up?

The desktop doesn't have metro tiles, it's the same desktop everyone is use to in Win7.
Visual Studio isn't to shabby, it and C# are a joy to work with.
