Why the FUCK does itunes need to take up my whole fucking screen to play music?
Winamp sits nicely in the corner, I have access to my playlist and every other cotnrols right next to my browser window, and its unobtrusive. So why does itunes take up my whole fucking screen? Why am I forced to constantly minimize and maximize it every time I want to see what track is playing or skip a track? shitty programming aside itunes is just the worst designed music player I've ever encountered. Worse than realplayer. There, I said it.
I saw a tutorial somewhere on how to use vga monitor cable as cat 5 cable, apparently because of the cable design you can make the cable 10 times longer or something crazy over standard cat5 cable. So if you want to transport 1080i over 100 feet cut up and splice together a vga monitor cable, it'l work better than your "pro" cable.
While i can see how it sounds impossible or like a a lot of work, it always reminds me of how 20 years ago if you told someone you could do whats being done here they would have said exactly the same thing. I have no doubt one day we will be able to overcome those problems, i have no idea how of course, but look at the crazy shit we have now!
I find an IQ test isnt relaly suited for determining who is smarter than someone else, or who is smartest, however its quite good at weeding out the retards from the decently smart people. after you get above average intelligence its pretty useless, but someone who pretty smart wont get 85.
There's nearly always a solution when it comes to weight loss. I suggest you exercise early in the morning before work, It'l be a bitch to start with but youl have much more energy all day long, especially after work.
These conditions are very rare tho, they are the extreme exception rather than the norm. For msot people its their own fault.
Your right about BMI, its completely unscientific and needs to be replaced. Why cant people just use body fat percentage?
For example i come in at just over the obese line on the bmi, yet i can run 6km without much trouble. The mathematician that made it up must have thought muscle was weightless.
I bet he has great endurance, those things dont weight much, what if he then decides to go in the marathon, where he may have a massive advantage and be 10 minutes faster?
Where do you draw the line? What time do you need to be capable of for it to not be enhancement? What if you run a little slower in the trails to meet that time then go all out for the gold medal?
He should not be allowed to compete.
Also it brings up another interesting question, how long until the paralympic records a better than the olympic? how long till its just a competition for cyborgs? I'd pay to see that. Especially if they had guns.
Granted I don't know the full story, but assuming thats all the facts of the case, I would be likely to think he killed her in a fit of rage, but it's definately not enough for me to vote guilty. I can think of any number of explanations off the top of my head to explain those circumstances.
The thing that pisses me off is how having anything showing you had an interest in murder such as a book about it or anything such as that somehow implies guilt. I quite enjoy reading about crazy people on places like crime library, that doesn't make me mroe likely to commit murder. By that logic homocide detectives are the worst murderers of all!
Everyone seems to overstate this 6 inch blood stain. Think about it, 6 inches is nothing. Just like that paramedic said he/she had never seen a 20mph crash cause those kinds of spinal injuries. In my experience a lot of things can cause a 6 inch blood stain. A little while ago I had a mole removed from my back and one of the stiches broke while I was out, the back of my shirt was half covered with blood by the time I got home and people were asking me if i had been stabbed (it was an awkward bus ride). I have cut my hands numerous times accidentally which would cause 6 inch stains from the amount of blood that gushes out. If i had a volunteer (haha) I could cut them now producing enough blood for a bigger stain than that without even requiring you to go to the doctor or hospital.
Murder is not always 100% wrong all the time no exceptions. Brings up the old "Would you kill Hitler if you could?" I would, and I'd be proud of myself afterwards. I dont think that makes me an evil person.

There is no adequate way to answer a question other than science. And even if there was, it sure as hell wouldnt be an old holy book.
the 95% include athiests and agnostic. agnostic is an intermediery position, someone unwilling to side 100% with the scientific method. An athiest is someone who does not believe in theism, not because they think they know that a god is impossible, but because there is no evidence for it, the same as you wouldnt believe anything crazy which is not supported by real evidence.
the idea that the universe is created by an intelligent being is a valid idea. however this is not a default position. the default position is "i dont know" so as these scientists dont have evidence towards a creator im certain they have the default position of i dont know.
this is seperate however from the god of the abrahamic religions, who is infallible. not only is there no scientific evidence for this but there is a great deal of evidence that is at odds with this theory.
an unimaginably intelligent and powerful being is very different to an omnipotent omnipresent infallible one. one is plausible as any other theory you can think up at this point - to my knowledge. the other (theism) is so at odds with evidence and observation that being an a-theist is the only scientific position currently. just like being an a-teapotist or a-spaghetti monsterist is.

Also, accordign to this article crysis runs at 22fps, and I suspect thats without much AA. How is this taming it?
