Yes, it's a pretty worthless (yet somehow, interesting) article, but a great excuse for lame jokes.

Something Offtopic, I just clicked submit before 2 minutes since the last post, and now it says "Slow Down Cowboy" but below, previews what you are attempting to say. Is this new or have I just been missing it? Seems like a good way to get people to fix errors once in a while.

The ultimate in a screwless case. Or useless, not sure which.

Again, maybe I want to hang it on my wall because it is cool. Maybe I want to melt it down, or if you like strange decorations, plastic would be easier to engrave than metal.

What a gun is made out of has no bearing on the question of its morality. It could be made of silly putty or depleted uranium, it still has no moral or immoral values/qualities.

A gun has no morality. Its existence is not good, bad, or neutral. The morality comes from the person using it. Is the gun still "morally wrong" (according to you)? Is it still wrong to own it? If not, then there is no morality to a gun.

Software is not a gun. What if I sold a pair of pants to China? By your reasoning, then, I am violating human rights as well. The software does not cause the harm, the PEOPLE in the government cause the harm. Hell, the software isn't even close to the actual point of abuse, but those pants could be worn by a guard who routinely beats & tortures people. Am I then responsible for his actions? Certainly not, even if that pair of pants was used to strangle the prisoners.

The chances of someone making the porn are pretty slim, as are the chances that MS's software has ANYTHING to to with actual HR violations. China could just as easily do the same thing with Linux or any other OS, commercial or not. This is just frigging stupid and someone (AI) is just taking a potshot at a big company (or three) they don't like. Purely political B.S., MS is in no way responsible for what is done with their software, unless something illegal was done intentionally.

I f&*^ing hate MS, but I'm not going to blame them for every stupid little thing they didn't do. This is just silly.

McLie #2: Same as #1, basically. 700 incidents out of the millions of cups of coffee they sell EVERY DAY. That's a pretty good record.

McLie #3: 3rd degree burns to her groin? Well, the "groinal" skin is more sensitive than much other skin, so WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU KEEP COFFEE THERE, not to mention the same coffee on, say, your hand, would not have caused the same burns.

McLie #4: Had she not been a fucking idiot (see "groin != cup holder"), she would not have had those injuries. What happened to survival of the fittest? The unfit hire lawyers.

McLie #5: Same statement as #1 & #2 -- If you are trying to make a point that is "obvious," don't use the same point three times.

McLie #6: is a statement of the result of the jury. The jury is only allowed to hear information both sides lawyers' allow to be said, so a jury's verdict does not show the reality of the case (even though its legal finality)

McLie #7: This is a counter-argument, pointing out that the old woman didn't deserve the full amount she got.

McLie #8: This isn't even an argument, it's a summary and incidental facts that only matter because the person spilled coffee in her own lap.

The last sentence basically says "be careful." If that stupid bitch had been careful at first, she wouldn't have had any problems. No, this is still a case of someone suing due to their own stupidity.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of McCrappy's, but I hate frivolous-lawsuit apologists more. Geez, use your McBrain, if you have one.

Term limits means there has to be a new person every 6/8/10/12 years, hopefully with fresh ideas. Not to mention that they would have been in the workforce more recently and have some vague idea what is REALLY going on in their country, instead of haunting Washington D.C. until they die.

In a similar vein, they should not be able to give themselves pay raises, as that is a clear conflict of interests.

They are supposed to be representatives of a state, yet they are paid by the federal government. The states they represent should be the ones paying them.
